Lynn
The man, he was there looking at me again with a creepy smile. The blood stained knife in his right hand raised above his head, ready to kill. I couldn't move, I couldn't scream, I couldn't do anything but watch.
The knife went down right into her neck making blood go everywhere. No sound came from her though, she just laid there staring upwards. Like nothing was happening, like no knife was plugged into her neck.
All the sudden I could move and I did, I ran towards her. Suddenly everything was white and she was gone. Turning around I searched for her, but with no luck. Then the floor disappeared and I fell down into the dark, no one could help me.
"No!" I yelled waking up from a terrible nightmare. I was covered in sweat and panting heavily, calming down was all I could focus on right now. Once my breathing was stable again I looked around, I've never been in this room.
I suddenly felt movement right next to me making me jump a bit to the side. "Why the yelling?" A sleepy voice asked. Looking next to me I saw Dawn sit up from laying with her back to me. Wait I slept in the same bed, next to her?! "Now?" She asked raising a brow.
I could feel that my face was really red right now, but ignored it. "N-nightmare." I stuttered out still trying to think of how I got here, in her room, next to her. Last night that man attacked me, after she came into my room and then...I passed out against her?
"Oh okay, well hope you slept well cause we have a long walk to go." She said throwing her legs over the edge of the bed. She stretched her arms a bit before standing up and walking over to a closet. She took out the white costume she always wears and a couple of armor pieces to add.
I just looked at her while moving my legs a bit around over the bed edge. There was kind of an awkward silence, but she didn't seem bothered by it. Once she turned around I could see her in her full uniform without the hood. It sure looked heavy, but she seemed just fine and really strong.
She suddenly turned back to the closet taking out some other clothes. "Here." She said handing me a mpair of simple and easy to move in clothes. She turned around with her back folding her arms. "Tell me when you are done." She said.
Isn't there a changing room...? Okay fine.
I took off my clothes I wore for the night and tossed them on a chair near. I sometimes took a glance at Dawn, but she didn't seem like she was gonna move anytime soon. I quickly put on the pants and shirt tapping her shoulder. "Done." I said with a small smile.
She turned back around and looked down at me like she was judging me. "Boots?" She suddenly asked looking me into the eyes. She really had pretty green eyes even if they didn't held many emotions or she was hiding them.
"Sure, how are we going?" I asked her. She walked towards the door picking up a pair of boots handing them over to me. She opened the door and pulled her hood over her face walking outside before stopping.
"By horse." She answered looking a bit over her shoulder. Oh I know how to ride a horse, this will be fun. Unless she doesn't want to talk on the way there, but I'll try to make her talk!
Walking into the big hall of the house she went to the back opening a door similar to the front door. Upon opening we entered the yard which was beautiful, there were flowers everywhere and a small fountain.
To the left I could see a small roofed place with an anvil and other things a blacksmith would need. Some woman where in the yard talking to each other wearing more fancy like clothes. To the right I saw Dawn walking towards what looked like stables. I quickly caught up to her walking right next to her.
"I never caught your name." She said looking forward. You never told yours either, but your sister did.
"Well I'm Lynn, you're Dawn right? Sky told me about you, really nice girl." I said. Her sister was really sweet, she was the first one to properly introduced herself to me. Not that I blame Dawn for staying mysterious, it's just her thing I guess.
Two saddled horses stood ready for the both of us as Dawn climbed the black one. The other one was a beautiful white one with brown spots covering. I climbed the saddle as Dawn started walking slowly to the exit of the city, I followed close behind.
The way back to my city was long, silent, confusing and dangerous. On the way some bandits wanted to rob us until Dawn took out her sword. Then they were gone faster then they treated us. I tried to talk a bit with her and she did answer, but short answers.
Other then all that I have to say it was a long walk, good thing there was a bit of wind with this sun. Her city was placed very far away from any other form of life, safe and well build. Once we entered my city we were quickly stopped by a couple of guards.
Dawn
The guards that stopped us were no problem, they only informed us where to leave our horses. We walked them to the stables leaving them with other horses and walked into the city. First thing you saw where peaceful streets.
Lynn lead me further into the town into a direction I have never been. The further we went the more guards there were, I was kinda getting nervous. If they figure out I'm an assassin, I'm dead for sure or I need to dash.
Suddenly a man in armor without a helm stopped us kneeling down in front of us. "Lady Acerbi, it's good to see you back in one piece." He said kissing her hand.
Acerbi? Wait a minute..
"Uhm...Thanks." Lynn said pulling her hand back looking a bit uncomfortable. The man stood back up with a small glare and looked over at me with a raised brow. "This is my friend, she saved me." She said quickly in defense.
"Thank you for saving Mister Acerbi's daughter." The man said giving me a small bow. I just gave a simple nod making sure I was well hiding my face in my hood.
Acerbi's daughter, our biggest enemies daughter was right in front of me. All this time I thought I was helping an innocent civilian, but she is the daughter of that monster....would she know?
