Dawn

Well that didn't went as I thought this visit would go. Normally I would have attacked or at least tried to get away, but I just let them catch me. Lynn believed me, but her dad seems to believe Luciano his words and I could tell he was lying. He looked drunk, his eyes tired and a sick grin on his face when giving me the blame.

The man on the ground, I had never seen him except at the dinner table. Lynn seemed very upset at his death, I was even sure that he wasn't a Templar. The guards brought me to another building in town, just a normal prison were they put anyone. Next thing I knew I was wearing prisoners clothes and inside a cell all on my own.

I hadn't shown any kind of struggle to the guards as they just pushed me over here and into this little room. Why would I? If I did so they might suspect that I'm not just a normal civilian, Lynn's dad already though so and that was enough for now. There will be an opening, just have to wait for the right moment and get back to my creed.

Sitting down on the uncomfortable bed I just started blankly in front of me. It was gonna take a while to get away from here, but I wasn't allowed to get myself become weak. Pushing myself of the bed I went on the ground and simply started doing push ups with my mind elsewhere.

Lynn

I was in my room sitting on the bed with tears still rolling down my cheeks. The sobbing had finally died down, but the pain was still present mixed with hatred. Hatred for my father and Luciano who had put Dawn in prison while she wasn't even guilty.

A soft knock could be heard on the door, but I didn't move nor answered it. I just sat there looking at the ground in front of me trying to understand what had happened. The person who had knocked decided to just open the door on their own and walked slowly over to where I was seated. Out of the corner of my eye I could see a crooked smile on his lips as he saw how fragile I appeared now, no one to comfort her, no one to safe me. So he took it in his own hands.

"Don't worry sweetheart, your safe now maybe you would have been her next victim." He said trying to sound as he cared for Dawn. Of course he knew she was safe either way, but he wanted to show me that Dawn was a bad person. Sneaking his arm around my waist he pulled me against him roughly.

My body tensed feeling his arm and I got more scared when he pulled me even closer. I never liked being so close to him, he smelled like Whisky which he shouldn't be proud off. "Dawn didn't do it." I said coldly getting off the bed away of him.

A glare formed on his face, I never did as he wanted and never will. It was getting annoying to him and I was well aware and that stupid wedding was getting closer. Pushing himself off the bed he approached me yet again and this time harshly pinned me up against the wall. "Listen here you, we are gonna get married weather you like it or not. It's what your father wants!" He said shouting angry at the end.

"But not what I want!" I spat back trying to push him away from me. Luciano was holding my wrists against the wall as we were glaring at each other. "Let me go!" I shouted kicking him right between his legs causing him to go through his knees. With his hands holding onto his crotch I stepped away from him running towards the door.

Not easily letting this change go Luciano ran after me stopping me right before I was out of the door. He gripped my arm and pulled me away from the door before locking it. "This time no one will help you." He said breathing angrily approaching while I backed away against the wall near the closet.

Suddenly I remembered something and opened the closet pulling out Dawns sword. Holding it sloppy I kept the end right against Luciano's neck who had gotten speechless. "Back off!" I yelled angrily pushing the sword a bit more against his throat. It was obvious that I didn't know how to use it properly, but still the man backed away.

Luciano placed his hands in the air backing offl. "How did you get that?" He asked eyeing me seeing the symbol on the sword. "It's not one of our swords." He stated throwing his arm under the blade easily knocking it in the air and catching it. I didn't expect his action and the fear was visible on my face.

A loud knock on the door interrupted them making me sigh in relief. Luciano let out a frustrated groan throwing the sword to the side and unlocking the door. Before the guard could even question anything the man angrily walked out of the room down the stairs.

Walking into the room he spotted me trembling in the corner of the room. The sword right next to me seemed to worry him as he quickly made his way over to the corner. "Miss Acerbi are you alright?!" He asked kneeling down next to me while I was still lightly  panicking. "It's me, don't be scared come on." The guard said rubbing my back softly comforting me.

After Luciano had stormed our of the room I had fallen through my knees all the fear coming at ones. The footsteps that quickly came near me didn't make me look up, it was until he spoke that my eyes widened. When he started comforting me, I wrapped her arms tight around him. "You made it..." My voice was but a whisper.

"What else had you expect from me?" He asked pulling a bit back so he could look at me better. It must have been scary to see me like this after his brother stormed out of the room. He was my personal guard, but when I went missing he was out looking for me.

Yesterday he probably had gotten the message that I had gotten home safe so he must have hurried back. He didn't want to give his brother open field and see me harmed when he got back.

"I thought you were killed or placed to another city..." I said in a low tone still scared of the previous event. Ciro was always there for me when needed, my uncle had made him my personal guard not trusting Luciano or father. "I'm glad you're back." i added hugging him again.

Ciro just let me throw all my emotions out at ones not saying a word. when I talked about being attacked by one of their own guards and how a girl had saved me and took care of me. I told about the dinner, the wedding getting closer, about the murder and how Dawn was in prison right now because of Luciano.

"Can't we go and get her out? You are allowed to give orders." Ciro advised. It wasn't hard going there, it was most likely the prison not too far in town. Of course we had to sneak out of the house, I wasn't allowed outside anymore until the wedding was over. He hated how father could just hand me over to their family like an item.

I shook her head no. "They will ask for my dad his orders." He had told me not long ago that I wasn't worth having such powers, so now Luciano could even command their guards. "Can we sneak in and let her out?" I asked hoping for a yes.

A bit taken back by the question Ciro thought about it. "Are you sure?" He asked now wanting me in any danger or getting caught. I nodded determined about the idea so he gave in. "Okay, but don't do anything on your own. We are leaving after dinner your dad is holding a meeting in the library, we can sneak out than." He informed.

"That's a plan." I said happily with me best friend being back. Giving him one last hug we both got up and Ciro picked up the sword before he gasped. "What's wrong?" I asked confused.

Ciro turned to me with wide eyes and his mouth open. "T-this is an Assassin's sword!" He said not believing it, their enemy team was for him more a dream to join. But he had sworn to protect me which made him their enemy.

"Assassin sword...?" I asked feeling stupid that I hadn't noticed sooner. That must be why Dawn always stayed in the shadows, she didn't want to be discovered by my dad or it would have been her dead. "Is she after us then?" Everything seemed so mixed now, Dawn might as well be after me and my whole family.
