Dawn

After Lynn had proven she had finished the contract we returned back to the creed. Christina went to the office of the Masters with Lynn, just to make sure nothing would happen. This was the first time an ex-templar had completed one of their quests after all, we had no idea if they would plan to get rid of her in another way.

I was leaning against the wall next to the office door, using my foot as support. I could hear their voices faintly, but I couldn't understand what they were saying. Not that it mattered since I would hear it from them anyways. When I heard the door clique I looked up pushing myself off the wall walking next to them. "We will head back to the city and keep her low for now." Christina said pulling her hood up and over her head. I decided to keep mine off, but raised my hand to put Lynn's hood over her head.

She turned to look at me, but I kept my gaze ahead of me. My mind consisted of two things, keeping Lynn safe and spending some special time away from her. I have been feeling strange around her lately and I know exactly what it was, I have fallen for her. Something I had hoped never would happen again.

My feelings, my previous love, it was all wrong in the eyes of society. That didn't stop us last time though, but when it came out, the consequences were too heavy. It was something I hoped never would happen again, watching the one you love get burned alive in the middle of crowd. The laughter and cheering mixed with the horrifying screams...I remember all too well.

"Dawn." I snapped my head up at the sudden call. Lynn was standing right in front of me, very close even, snapping her fingers. "Are you alright?" She asked worriedly inching even closer.

I gulped for a second taking a small step back. "I am fine. Just lost in thought."

"Then why are you crying...?"

I was indeed crying, but I hadn't noticed myself. In one swift move I had pulled my hood up the shadow casting over my eyes. "It's nothing." I said coldly before continuing our walk towards the stables.

Lynn

As soon as Dawn walked away I wanted to go after her since she clearly wasn't alright, but I was stopped by Christina grabbing my hand. "Give her some space...Trust me it's the only way to let her calm down." She let go off my hand as I glanced over seeing Dawn ride away on her horse. Christina passed me as she walked over to her own horse and waited for me.

I got on as well and took my hood off, I preferred not wearing it unless I saw guards since they would recognize me from the missing posters. Honestly I didn't know why my dad put so much effort in finding me, it's not like he'd care if I was alive or dead. Christina went on a slow pace after Dawn, who was going as fast as the wind. I figured she wasn't gonna go after her so decided to keep my distance as well.

The ride was long, but not that boring, Christina was alright to talk with. I had tried asking what had gotten into Dawn several times though, but she kept changing the subject avoiding the question. After a while I gave up at finding out and decided to ask about her life and how she had ended up with the Creed. "My parents threw me out of the house, in order to survive I had killed multiple people and one day I had my eyes on this man, Hagan his father to be exact. Turned out he knew I was following him for a while, but he didn't hurt me, he stopped me and told me to join him. He saw potential in me and said that I didn't had to worry about surviving as long as I was able to get the job done. That's when I met Hagan and later on Dawn was brought in."

They all seemed to have a rough life as far as the stories go. Sky had told me how she and Dawn got separated for a long time without any parents and it seems Christina met the same faith as them. "I'm sorry to hear you had to go through that on such a young age." I said feeling like a spoiled brat who had a decent life, sure no one paid me any mind, but I had a healthy life.
