Dawn

I don't know why, but I'm walking towards Lynn her house with her and this guy. So I'm pretty much walking into the biggest dead house for any assassin, but hey I saved the enemies daughter. What could possibly go wrong? Right, everything. He wouldn't care, plus I need to kill him before he finds out who I am.

He will pay for what he did back then and there, killing my parents right in front of me. No mercy was shown while they were both on the ground, helpless. I can just see it all happen again, every night it haunts me because I was useless.

- Flashback -

The whole town was evacuating as they ran to the nearest gates. Everyone except the guards and me, I ran into the other direction trying to reach my home. Houses were burning down and I could screams everywhere.

I wanted to cry, but I wouldn't allow myself I had to stay strong and reach mom and dad! Suddenly a loud bang happened right next to me as a wall exploded. I was send flying against the other wall on the other side losing conscious.

Screaming, crying, yelling, swords colliding. And here I was, a 9 year old trying her hardest to get up, wake up for starters. My head hurt a lot, I was most likely bleeding from the wound. My eyes started to open as my vision was becoming clear.

The whole town was on fire.

Pushing myself up from the wall I rubbed my head in pain. Looking back around I saw flames everywhere as people were running in panic, children crying for there parents, people crying while holding their loved one. Everything, the place I grew up in, the people I loved, it was getting destroyed right in front of me.

"Dawn!" That voice!

I turned around seeing my older brother run towards me holding a blood soaked sword while he was covered in ash. I didn't care and just ran towards him running into his chest crying. I was holding it in for so long, I just need this. "Where are mom and dad?" I said in between sobs holding onto him

He petted my head with one hand while rubbing my back with the other. He was such a caring brother, I couldn't imagine a world without him. Suddenly the petting stopped and I felt something fell on my face.

Looking up I saw my brother coughing up blood as an arrow was sticking out from the back of his neck. Gasping I fell backwards with wide yes crawling away. "N-no....No!" I yelled seeing him fall down, no more movement coming.

Running. That was the next thing I was doing, running towards my house. The big villa at the end of the town. I avoided bodies, the crying, the fights, nothing was gonna stop me. "They took him away..." I thought a tear rolling down my cheek.

Climbing the stairs I was heading towards the front door which was missing, it was broken open. Our maid was outside against the wall blood dripping down her face. I looked away from the body and ran inside taking the first stairs to the next floor.

I stopped before entering the office when I heard voices.

"Where is she?!" A strange voice yelled.

"Safe! Away from you!" I hear my father yell angry. Who? Me? Sky?

The next thing I hear was a loud thud and I opened the door a little peeking inside. My dad was on the floor blood on his face and tired out. My mother was chained onto the office chair with her head hung low was blood was dripping down her cheek.

The sight made me wanne cry and look away, but I didn't. I couldn't look away seeing the man come in view who was responsible for this destruction. I couldn't see his face, but I could see what was in his hand.

A dagger.

"I will find her. And when I get my hands on her, it won't be pretty." He said hitting my dad across the face with the back of his dagger. I whimpered a little, but kept on looking.

"As long as Aldo and Dawn are alive you won't even find her." My dad spat back. This only caused the man to get more angry and plug the dagger right into my dads stomach. My eyes widened as my dad spitted blood in the man his face letting his death come.

I was trying so hard not to scream or cry. "Dawn? What happened here?" I heard a familiar voice say. Turning around I saw my 7 year old sister looking very confused.

"Sky..." I whispered remembering what my dad said. Oh no...they are all gone. I heard footsteps coming close and ran quickly over to Sky pulling her behind a wall covering her mouth. Please don't come this way!

I felt Sky whimper and I rubbed her arm assuring her everything will be okay. The doors slammed open as someone let out a loud frustrated sigh. I peeked around the corner catching a glance of his face, he was mad.

I turned back behind the wall and waited for him to walk away. He went the other way into the direction of the stairs. I stayed there for a little longer before sliding down onto the ground. I pulled Sky with me holding her close to me.

- Present -

The first thing I did was get Sky somewhere safe, but I couldn't help myself. They simply didn't want me and took her in kicking me down on the street. They left me there to rot, but at least Sky was safe. She wanted to escape, but I told her everything would be alright.

I became stronger living on the streets, got more skilled in climbing and became a silent thief. Soon a man in white clothing helped me and introduced me to the creed, the same one my parents were in. First thing I did was bring Sky back into my life.

And now here I am face to face with the culprit. He was smiling kindly at me while I just gave a blank expression. Lynn could see I didn't feel comfortable around this monster. "Dad is it okay if me and my friend talk a bit alone?" She asked kindly.

Her dad looked over at her and his smile was gone as he looked blankly at her. "I guess." He said giving her a small glare. Lynn nodded in a thanks before pulling me with her into the house towards what I assumed her bedroom.

Wow, nice relationship they have. Do they hate each other or something? I don't even think she knows about what he has done...

Lynn slammed open the doors to her bedroom and fell into her bed groaning loudly. I closed the doors behind me very awkwardly walking over to the bed. "You okay?" I asked taking of the hood. Oh such a bad idea why am I doing this for her.

She looked back up from the pillow looking at me. "Yea, just....my dad." She said before sitting up and getting next to me on the edge of the bed. "We don't get along at all and he wants me to marry the guy you saw.

What?! He wants her to marry that creep from a guy? Nuh-huh, ain't letting that happ- why am I caring so much? "Oh. That's kinda a good reason." I said calming myself down again. My body had tensed up though.

That man is going to pay.
