Dawn

I swear this recovery trial is the stupidest thing that exists. This is the fifth time I have to do this, no one goes all the way through the creed without getting badly injured once. The ring wasn't big and it was right in front of the mansion, anyone could see from inside. Everyone was around the outside of the ring cheering for whoever they preferred. It wasn't hard using a sword again you don't just lose the ability to use a sword, it's like riding a horse, you never forget. Anyone passes from the first try, unless you are unlucky like me and have to fight Hagan.

The guy was a bear, 2 meters tall and ripped he had a special blacksmith to make his armor. It wasn't a surprise thought, his father was a bear too and know he is one of the masters of the Creed. When I was little the man had no problem picking all three me, my brother and sister up. It was like the easiest thing in the world to him.

A lot of people thought Hagan his weakness was speed since he was this big, but trust me he is just as fast as everyone else. I tried being faster before, but he just blocked every hit of my sword like it was nothing. Blocking his swings on the other hand was much harder, either you dodge completely or you block and feel your sword shake all the way to your little toe. I swear sometimes I wonder how my sword hasn't broken yet.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see Christina, she was smirking. Nothing new about that, she loved seeing me struggle. Even when we out on a mission which means our lives matter, she smirks when I struggle. That doesn't mean she won't help me during dangerous moments, she isn't gonna let me die so easily and same goes for her. We have been friends for years now and always had and have each others back.

"Opportunity!" I was shot back to reality when I felt myself fall to the ground, Hagan had kicked my leg making me fall easily. God I should have paid attention, damn you Christina. He swung his sword down and I blocked it off with mine quickly. Using my feet I got half up and kicked the back of knee making his leg weak for a second. This was a good opportunity for me to punch him right in the face.

Which was a huge mistake, it hurt when my fist made contact with his face. He recovered fast and pushed away my sword with his bare hands, he also threw away his own sword getting ready for an unarmed fight. The master that was keeping an eye on the dual leaned in closer. Of course it's more intrestring to see a 2 meter tall guy fight someone who is a head and half smaller, bare hands. Kind of sickening what this people take joy in to watch, this wasn't for entertaining at all. Whenever anyone else is having this trial I am out looking for clues to my mission or inside reading a book. Not yelling "Kick him in the nuts!" Like a barbarian. Men

I blocked my face with the back of my lower arms from one of Hagan his punches. I quickly kicked forward in his stomach keeping my defense up. He flinched a little bit, which made it easy for me to smack him right in the chest. He was out of air and backed off.

"That's enough you two." The master said, I turned at him as he nodded. This means I made it and am back in the game. I looked at Hagan who was smiling up at me, he must be happy to have me back in the team, I reached my hand out and he gladly accepted it. It wasn't easy to pull him up his feet, but it worked.

"Welcome back to the mission." He sad giving me a pat on the back. He and Christina had been working hard on getting clues. They found out that the one who murdered our spy was from Lynn her family. Either they tried to frame me or this family and their network are much more complicated than we thought. My friends had find two useful letters, one was with the hours and locations of guards around Florence. The second item was a letter talking about some guy named Albertino. The letter said that they had to meet up and talk about poisoning the water in some cities. This guy is surely getting a visit and we are leaving tomorrow.

I hopped over the fence of the ring taking the stairs that led to the mansion. Right outside of the mansion was my sister on a bench together with Lynn and Ciro. The three had gotten close in the time they been here. Ciro maybe too close, I had a feeling he liked my sister more than just a friend, maybe need to keep an eye on him.

Lynn on the other hand had it hard being here. During the night she sometimes knocked on my door asking if she could sleep there instead because she was scared. I could understand her situation, after everything that had happened only Ciro was the only one she had left. Just as I only had Sky left. I didn't mind her staying in my room, she didn't snore or was any bother.

I opened the front door walking inside leaving the door to close by itself. I didn't hear the loud bang it usually makes and turned around to see that Sky was holding it open. Her eyes looked like a mix of sadness and fear. I know what was coming and hated it so badly. She bit her lower lip and looked at me opening her mouth. "Can I come on the mission with you guys tomorrow?" I was already shaking my head no when I heard the word mission.

I didn't like turning my sister down over and over, but I don't want her in any danger. "Sky, you know you can't it's too dangerous and I don't want to lose you. You are all that I have left." I said as her eyes turned away from looking at me. She turned back towards to door as I turned to the stairs going up.

Almost reaching my room I heard the front door close loudly and let out a sigh. "I am sorry sis..." I whispered to myself and opened my bedroom door. Inside I saw that my window was open and Christina was sitting in the window frame. "It's rude to sneak in a friends room, what are you doing here?" I asked crossing my arms and raising a brow.

She shrugged and jumped inside my room looking around like has she never been here before. Suddenly she turned to me looking very serious. "Maybe you should take a break and spend some time with your sister." She stated. I wasn't confused about the fact she knew, but more amazed how she heard our conversation and then got in my room that fast.

But to what she said I had no answer. I didn't like dropping out of a mission especially since we going out tomorrow. We were getting closer to the first target and now they telling me to take a break. "What about the mission?" I asked looking at her, she still looked very serious.

"Hagan and I will go, don't worry you won't miss much. When we get back we will tell you everything." I mean she has a point. Sky and I haven't done something together in so long. Even during mt recovery I never had time and spend all night in the library.

"Okay, bu-" before I even could finish my sentence I was being dragged out of my room by my friend. It was nice to see someone cared about my sister, I know it's bad if someone else has to point you out what's good for you. Luckily I have friends who don't care and just help me without asking, straight to the point no wasting time in Christina's world.

We reaches outside and the trio were still sitting on the bench. Except only Lynn and Ciro were talking, Sky was looking at the ground, sad. The sight alone made me feel like a horrible sister, but in situations like this I wad powerless. I didn't know how to cheer her up, I could only think of an activity we can do together. I cleared my throat "Sky?" Her head immediately shot up "Would you like to take the horses and ride around the outside wall with me?" Her face turned happy as she got up and nodded.

I smiled seeing her cheerful self, I was about to turn around until I was stopped. "Wait, can Lynm join us? Ciro was getting a tour at the armory and I don't want to leave Lynn alone."

I don't see any problem in this, of course I liked it more if it was just with Sky, but this is good too. "Sure. Lynn would you like to join us?" She nodded and got up walking towards us. She has changed since she been here, no more dresses only simple and easy clothes. No more sadness all the time like at home, she looked happier. Only sometimes she had her moments of sadness, but Ciro always cheered her up again.

"Let's go!" Sky yelled happily taking a run for it. Lynn laughed quickly following. I turned to look at Christina who smiled and waved a quick goodbye as she left. Quickly I ran to the stairs running after the two as they were going to the main gaten I rushed through the crowd of people in the main street.

I smiled to myself reaching them.

This is gonna be fun
