— The second night
It was the second night and just as the prior night there were banging noises on the ceiling walls but this time it was louder.
Not to mention there was banging on the ground tonight as well.
The whispers that had been there also had gotten louder and Ji Hui could make out some of the words said.
"...dead.."
"help...me!.."
"He's here!.."
"In the.."
It was all sorts of words—some that held clues others that didn't.
Ji Hui had sat up as once again he was sure he wouldn't be able to sleep again.
Ji Hui planned to find some more clues.
But first he had to see what the serpants had found.
Ji Hui didn't make a noise but rather extended his hand over the edge of bed ignoring the bangs that seemed to grow louder and more frantic.
As if trying to break through some barrier but couldn't.
It didn't take long for a pair of serpants to appear out of thin air as they climbed up his hand making themselves comfortable on his shoulder.
One of them nuzzle his head into his cheek which caused Ji Hui to have a smile that seemed his age.
And the other glared at the that one with jealousy but then got a smug glance in return.
Ji Hui hadn't noticed this as he stroked the snakes little heads—he had them white and black respectively since he didn't feel like making elaborate names.
As he scanned through the little serpants memories—none of the stuck out besides a couples of them.
One was the study mentioned inside the diary and the second was the Nannys room.
It was sort of expected.
Ji Hui had tested the nanny throughout the day but it was as if she hadn't remembered anything during the night because no matter what he said she seemed confused.
Even when he mention meeting her in the hallway and 'tried' to explain why he had been there but nothing.
It was strange but he couldn't do anything about it.
Based on the memories of the little serpants the study and nannys room were the most suspicious as they felt the most protected? gloomy?
One of the those.
It was standard for one of those placed to have clues to finding out the truth to this strange household.
Ji Hui finished scanning the memories as most weren't needed.
"Thanks for the help." He didn't hold back the praise for these little serpants.
But if he could see how jealous pankacake was at this moment he might have.
Ji Hui didn't know so he praised them.
Ji Hui sat in his room for a bit before he stood—the serpants had dissappear to find more information around the house.
He had a destination in mind when he opened the door.
The study.
It would most likely become his 'father's' study—well if they make it out alive.
Ji Hui went out in the hall but soon he realized that he didn't know where the study was. The first they had got here Ji Hui has explored some of the house but no where near the study.
So that meant it was somewhere near where he hadn't explored yet.
Ji Hui walked down the long hallways of the old-styled house which was closer to a mansion than a house.
If Ji Hui didn't know that this was a dungeons he wouldn't have a problem living with this 'family'.
But he had to get out of this dungeon.
Ji Hui went around the other side of the house going inside each room to which most of them were guest rooms and storage rooms.
Some were locked though.
It didn't take long for him to find it though—with some help from little white and black—so he stepped inside.
The study was kept tidy by the nanny even though the old home-owners had left so there wasn't dust. It was the same style as an old-timed study with a shelf on the wall full of old books and some trinkets.
The desk was made with walnut colored wood that still seemed new so the wood must have been expensive.
Rich people.
Judging from the note from attict the study must have some clues.
Ji Hui made sure that no one was inside before he began looking through for clues.
The first place he looked was the drawer lf the desk. Even though they had locks it was unlocked so he didn't have to find some sort of key.
There wasn't much in the drawers than an old key and an old newspaper.
Ji Hui slipped the key into his pocket and then began to read the paper.
Luckily it was intact.
[ A family of five killed again at the Lawsberry house around midnight! ]
[ June 12th this year the Smiths were found dead at the lawsberry house with no clear indication of breaking and entering nor robbery. Police cannot find conclusive evidence of a crime but their family members refused to belive this. ]
[ This the fith murder in the Lawsberry house Manny belive it is haunted—or is it a loose killer? ]
This paper was aired in the 1900's so that meant that this house has had around seven deaths after this one.
The first thing on his mind was:
Why is this house still for Sale?
Ji Hui didn't keep wondering about it and went towards the shelves to find the 'clues' the note talked about it.
Ji Hui began searching around the bookshelf for some sort of diary or note somewhere either inside the books or in-between.
Ji Hui searched for a bit but still found nothing.
Ji Hui had been searching through the books when he started hear steps inching closer to him.
The steps got louder and louder the closer they got before stopping at the entrance of the study. Ji Hui stopped hoping that the steps would move away.
But instead the door was being open.
