Namjoon's P.O.V.
"Is Martin alright? They didn't call me before it? I have to approve it.""Babe, it's not that kind of situation-"
She dropped her bag.
"Isn't it? I listened to the message and it said to call back. I don't have an email yet. What supersedes me, huh?"So much anger and bitterness. I couldn't feel an ounce of affection.
"Keeping him alive."The act dropped, like her face.
"What do you mean? What happened? Is he okay? Can I talk to him?""Jammed arteries. They had to take care of it."
A shrug. "Why bother? He's on a list for a liver because he drank it to sickness...He doesn't deserve the kindness.."
Yeah, right. Did she hate him that bad?
"You'd rather he didn't get it? Why did you run down the corridor then?""I- I'm upset at him, but he's still my father. I don't mean everything I say."
Clearly, because you're waiting for me to say he's fine."They'll send you an email to schedule a call with him."
"Good."
The heavy sigh.
"Why does God like him? Maybe that's proof He doesn't exist."
Mina!
"Don't look at me like that! Don't act like you didn't think about it."Fair. Her dad did say, to my face, that I stole his daughter from him. Eww? And true, from his point of view. She'd see him every two weeks before we met. Yet, he'd be bragging about her boyfriend being the leader of a successful band and at the same time act as if he didn't know my name.. I understood why her feelings towards him swung like a pendulum. He seemed quite nice on a good day.
"Not the point. He's gonna be okay."She dropped on the couch.
"That's something, I guess. I need an event-free day, don't you? I'm emotionally exhausted. I'd rather spend my energy on my oppas than on Martin. If nothing unexpected happens, Yoongi oppa and I are taking Jimin-ah out on the day of his comeback. His favorite restaurant and a few drinks."Sounds like you're getting ready for a bomb to explode. Though, she wasn't wrong.
"You texted my hyung?""Yeah, not the first time. It's getting less awkward."
I'd need details.. That was weird to me. Though, I could do something about the uneventful day.
"Next week, Wednesday, we could go to the other apartment. You paint or write or pour resin, I work on some lyrics, answer emails, paint with you. How about that? Then, we get ready for the Onewe concert.""It's that close! Woah, time goes by.. We have Jessi's interview on Sunday too."
Yup. "About that.. We need to go to the pharmacy tomorrow. I need bleach and dye."
"What are you going to make me do?"
"Min, please?"
"Fine! Just because I love you, and I'm too tired to argue."
Yes!"Thank you ~"
I'd get her HER favorite food. I can assure you. Army stew, spicy chicken feet, red bean mochi covered in matcha powder..
Don't ask me about the chicken feet thing. She tried it because it wasn't something she'd eat in Quebec, and now it's what she seeks as a first snack back home.
"I was thinking pink?"The sparkles in her eyes.
"Really? That is going to look very, very nice."Really?
"How nice?"A whisper into my ear.
"The kind that leaves traces on your back and that may lead to more than hands pleasing you. Catch my drift?"
Oh.. I did.
"I'm heading for a shower~ Practice was intense!"
