Namjoon's POV
A knock on my door. Who would be here? I checked my calendar. "F*ck. I forgot about that." I opened the door. "Hey, Hyung."My year twin frowned. "Why are you whispering?" He seemed to catch on. "She slept here?! Why? How?"
"Shhhh! Keep it down. She's in my guest room. We drank and decided to play a drinking game. She was more than tipsy, and I didn't feel safe to get her in a cab. I asked her to stay." I explained.
He pointed to the room. "There?"
I nodded. "Who do you think I am? She's a friend and you know I respect people more than that."
He shrugged. "Kookie did it. Why not you?"
Goodness gracious! "Hyung! Stop it, just get in the kitchen will you? We can chat without whispering."
.
.
.
"Soooo? How was it?"He's so annoying sometimes. "We had fun! She can't push stable high notes, but you should hear her harmonies. They're pretty. We yelled too! That was cool."
"Did you record some?" He looked at my phone. "You have pictures, you have to have videos."
I had two. One where she sang my song, and the first we did. Wind flower sitting on the couch, Love, jumping around. I showed the first clip. "What do you think?"
He smiled. "You seem to be enjoying yourselves, but yeah. It sounds nice."
I showed the second one and midway through... "Ya.. Why are you listening to this?"
My youngest friend came out, brushing her hair with her fingers, sleepy-eyed. Hobi hyung whispered to me. "She's wearing your shirt and shorts."
Come on. "I wasn't gonna let her sleep in jeans, no?" I turned to her, sitting on a stool. "Coffee?"
A tired smile. "Please.. do you have Gatorade or something like water? I have Tylenol to take."
She didn't notice him? I chuckled. "I think I do. That bad of a headache?"
She denied. "Nah, just preventing one." She heard a laugh that wasn't mine. That woke her up. "Do you have company?"
My Hyung hiding in front of the fridge showed himself. "Got caught, huh?" He waved. "Hi~"
She hid her face. "Dear God... I'm so sorry."
His laugh only got bigger. "Don't worry about it. You're not a mess."
I handed Mina an electrolyte drink and a coffee. "There you go."
She smiled having a sip of the drink and her coffee. "Thanks.. and happy birthday, Namjoon."
My eyes went wide. She was right. It was. My hyung pat my shoulder in a chuckle. "Forgot old man?" So mean! They both sang happy birthday. It was sweet. My last two birthdays had been with military colleagues.
It made me very happy. "Thanks a lot."
Mina grinned. "How is it? Being thirty one?"
"Not like being 24 for sure! It's great.."
Hyung looked at her. "She's 24? Woah. I didn't think that. It makes sense."
She got up, way more awake now. "Wait here!" She sent to her bag. "It's not much, but open it."
She got me a gift? "You didn't have to."
"I know, don't care. Open!" She pushed the bag to me.
I looked in. "Really? I love it! I didn't have this one."
"It was my best bet. I don't know your taste in jewelry or you t-shirt size, so a plush or figurine was a good guess." She admitted.
I went to her for a hug. "Can I?"
She did say she wasn't a fan of physical contact. Only close friends would get a hug she was at ease with. Mina got up and opened her arms. "Of course I am. I don't give gifts to anyone."
I gave her a big hug. One thing about her was her perfume. I didn't know what it was, but it wasn't like the ones I smelled here. It was slightly sweet, spicy, yet fresh. The closest scent was Hobi hyung's perfume, but lighter and fresh... Much nicer. "Thank you so much."
