It's as if Edward has been electrified with the way he pulled away, regret written all over his face as he look at Louis, who was still in a daze and was lost in the moment they've been. "Shit! Lou, I'm so sorry." And just like that, Louis got out of his trance when he felt his heart breaking at the words that wrapped around his ears. He pulled away as he put on a brave smile on his face, "I-It's okay edward, It wasn't a big deal." Louis humored as he let out a forced laugh, smiling softly that didn't reached his eyes at edward. He sat up, leaning his back on the headboard as Edward avoided him by going downstairs. The alpha probably felt guilty by kissing his best friend and kissing someone who wasn't his girlfriend, Louis' omega was howling in pain, as one of his alpha (his best friend that he viewed as one) left him alone at such a vulnerable time as he started overthinking, Louis decided to force sleep on to him as he laid back down again and turned around so he wasn't facing Edward when he comes back.

It was all so confusing, Louis felt happy that he could finally tell what the alpha's lips tastes like, how rough it is against his skin when Edward kissed his cheeks, but was smooth against his lips. At that moment he felt like he was walking on cloud nine but then he was falling from it as he heard Edward's sudden gasp when he opened his eyes and all he could see was fear and regret. Louis couldn't sleep, even when Edward came back and laid on his side, there was a massive space between them and it feels like they were miles away from each other.

The next morning, Louis woke up late as he didn't get enough sleep last night, it took Marcel to coax him out of the bed and into the shower to freshen himself up as they would be going home soon, the small omega joined the three as he sat quietly besides Harry who offered him a small closed smile as he chewed and serves Louis a full english breakfast. "How was your sleep, Lou-Lou?" Marcel asked after sipping his orange juice, Louis who was on the verge of getting himself another plate of eggs froze as he looked at the alpha with caught wide eyes. "It- it was go-good." He stuttered, he was flustered at just the mere mention of what happened last night and the cause of it on why he couldn't get a proper sleep, he took a glance at the oldest triplet who was busy playing with his food, too lost in his thoughts.

"Edward, please stop playing with your food. You know it's not proper." Louis gently scolded the alpha who looked up at him and gave him a curt nod, slicing the bacon in half before putting it in his mouth. Louis felt his heart twinge at Edward's non verbal action, the alpha was acting weird and distant to him and he didn't like it one bit. He'll try to talk to him on the way back, that is, if he even got the chance to do it. Louis immediately finished his meal, so he can pack his things faster and properly. He got up as he placed his plate down the sink and headed upstairs without uttering a word, Harry frowned at Louis' action wondering if something was wrong, but shook it off. Thinking that Louis is probably eager to leave and have a whiff of the city's air after having a long weekend.

Louis was humming a tune as he bend down to put the last clothes that was left on the to his duffel bag when he tenses as he felt a hand traces his naked back the fingers trailing up as it settled down to his nape. "I'm sorry." the alpha's voice whispers, so delicate Louis felt his walls crumbling. His knees weaken as Louis knelt down in front of the bed, looking at Edward with moist blue eyes. "I hate it when you ignore me." Louis said petulantly as he pouted at the alpha who was sitting on the bed besides him, his hands move to where it lays now on Louis' cheek.

"I'm sorry." Edward repeated, but this time it was sincere and his words shot right through Louis' beaten heart, he could read between the lines of what the alpha meant, the unspoken, 'I'm sorry I kissed you, but I didn't mean to because I'm already taken.'

It hurts but Louis only smiled tenderly at Edward who was now tracing a circular motion on his freckled cheeks. The moment they were in where they were staring deeply into each others eyes, assesing every emotion that they were feeling, vanished when the youngest triplet knock on the door as he passed by Louis and Edward's room. Shouting that the car was now ready and they needed to leave. Louis pulled apart as if he was electricuted, hurrying on putting his last belonging and without uttering a word left the dumbfounded alpha who he can only hear heaved out a sigh.

Louis settled on the corner of the backseat, putting his headphones on, he felt Marcel slid on to the seat besides him, knowing which alpha just by his scent alone. He could hear him greet him at the back of his headphone but paid him no mind, sue him for being sad and not wanting to talk with the alpha who continously broke his heart everytime he is with them.

"You are the one that I love, don't need another metaphor it's simple enough."

And isn't it so ridicoulous he was listening to a song about falling in love happily while he's in love but miserable.

He caught Edward's eyes on the rearview mirror, the alpha smiled as he settle on the driver seat, while he just returned a blank stare, avoiding the down tilt of his mouth and frown between his brows as he looked at the window beside him. He was so sad it's so pathetic just a peck on his lips got him spiraling into a depressive episode and he doesn't know how to stop it, the time he could finally feel what it is to be loved was also the time he would be ruined by the look of regret.

Harry was the only one who shattered the gloomy atmosphere in the car as he cheerily jumped on his passenger seat, carrying loads of chips in his hands as he get hungry whenever they're on the road. "LET'S GO!" The alpha happily chirped. Harry confusedly looked around him as he noticed everyone being quiet, Edward didn't utter a word just started the car, pulling out of the driveway and into the road of endless silence and longing.

After hours of sitting in a cramped space they finally arrived at the styles mansion, dead on his feet Louis got out of the car and heading inside without a word to any of the triplets. The three alphas looking at each other in question if they did something wrong to the quiet omega. When all of them shrugged at the same time, they just thought that Louis was probably just tired and wasn't in the mood to talk to them. And they understand it they do. So they just quickly got the things they brought inside and look for their mom to ask if they can prepare food for the quiet omega.

Louis immidiately went to Liam's room, knocking rapidly before opening the door and closing it behind him. Seeing the alpha sitting on his bed quietly with his laptop on his lap, Louis couldn't help but tear up at Liam's suprised look that soften when he saw Louis' vulnerable state. "Oh, Lou. Come here, what happend?" Louis walk slowly to Liam's bed as all of his feeling started to pile up, making him sobbed as cried over Liam's shoulder as the alpha hugged him tight. "Edward kissed me." He started in between sobs. "It was everything I have ever wanted. But it wasn't enough because I am not his to be kissed like that."
