[Luna's POV]

The warmth of Darius's arms wrapped around me made it almost impossible to open my eyes. His slow, steady breathing against my neck was like a lullaby I wasn't ready to wake from. I shifted slightly, attempting to stretch, but his grip tightened. I smiled. Of course, he wouldn't let me leave the bed that easily.

"Good morning," I whispered, my voice still groggy.

He mumbled something incoherent before pulling me closer, his chest pressing against my back. "Don't go anywhere," he finally said, his voice deep and husky from sleep.

I turned in his arms to face him, finding his eyes still closed but a lazy grin tugging at the corners of his lips. His hair was a mess, falling across his forehead in the most charming way. I could feel his warmth, his steady heartbeat, and the way his arms seemed to hold me like I was the only thing keeping him tethered to this world.

"You know I have to get up, right?" I said, playfully tugging at his arm. "I can't stay here all day."

"You could," he muttered, cracking one eye open. "And we'd both be much happier."

I laughed, lightly pushing against his chest. "You're impossible."

"I'm serious. Who needs school when you have me?" His voice was teasing, but the gleam in his eyes told me he was half-serious.

I rolled my eyes, propping myself up on one elbow to look down at him. "As tempting as that sounds, Darius, it's my first day of school. I'm not skipping."

His smile faded slightly, but his eyes softened as he reached up to brush a strand of hair from my face. "Fine, but only because you look so determined," he said. "Just know I'm not happy about it."

"Noted," I replied, grinning. I hesitated for a moment, feeling the weight of his gaze on me. There was an unspoken tension between us, a closeness that neither of us had dared to cross. My heart skipped a beat, but I quickly shook the feeling off, playfully shoving him away instead. "You're impossible."

With a sigh, I finally pulled myself from the warmth of the bed, shivering slightly as the cool air of the room hit my skin. Glancing at the clock, I realized I had less time than I thought. My heart raced a little—my first day at school, in a new pack, and with so much to learn. I couldn't afford to be late.

Downstairs, the kitchen was bustling with the sound of laughter and the smell of breakfast. Trent and Lydia were already seated at the table, deep in conversation. My parents were there too, and to my surprise, so were Lydia's parents, along with Darius's mum, Freya.

"Look who finally decided to join us," Trent teased as I walked in.

Lydia giggled, giving me a knowing look. "How was your night, Luna?"

I narrowed my eyes at her playfully as I took my seat. "It was... peaceful," I said, glancing briefly at Darius, who had followed me into the room.

"Peaceful, huh?" Trent raised an eyebrow. "That's not what we heard."

"Oh my god, what did you hear?" I asked, feeling my cheeks flush as I looked around the table.

My mum gave me a wink. "Don't worry, sweetheart. We're just teasing."

I could feel Darius's hand brush against mine under the table, offering silent support. "Thank you for that," I muttered, shooting him a grateful look before diving into my breakfast.

As the chatter continued, the conversation shifted towards more serious topics. Lydia's father, Isaac, spoke up, his tone becoming more thoughtful.

"So, Luna," he began, "how much do you know about the Bloodmoon Pack?"
