IV. ARCADIAN LAKE

"Looking into his eyes,

I think he's already hurt"

"DID YOU HEAR WHAT HAPPENED?" Mornings for the first day of school tend to go two ways: You either are the person who wakes up early and gets ready way before anyone does because you're nothing but excited for the day, or you're the person who would rather sleep in and never wake until the next holiday because you hated school as much as the next person.

Marjorie couldn't say she was either of them. She was always in the middle ground — the grey area. Apparently, there was a chance for one to be livid about the academic part of the school year, excited for the socialising part of the school year, not wanting to wake up early because of the academic part, but also, at the same time, would rather wake up early. Who knew right?

Note the sarcasm.

The first day of school was nothing but mix emotions for the redheaded girl as she tried her hardest with the tie around her neck — this was like, what? Her fifth try? It was ridiculous. No matter how many years it had been, she was still struggling with such an easy task. It was a good thing she was going to marry rich no sooner than later.

The only misfortune was that by 'rich' she meant Malfoy.

...also, it wasn't really a good thing, considering she wasn't all that happy about not marrying someone who she actually love, but at the same time she broke the heart of someone she was in love with — seriously, what was wrong with her?

But Marjorie digressed as she finally managed the knot and tucked the tie as neatly as possible before she made her way back out of the bathroom, where all her dormmates were getting ready for the day as well. Hermione was in the zone, brushing her frizzy bushy hair of hers with the utmost focus. Lavender and Parvati, however, were talking as per usual.

"Are you kidding me? Who hasn't?" said Parvati as she put her long and luscious hair into a plait. "We were there, Lav."

"And that's why we should talk about it!" said Lavender insistently. "It's not everyday that type of stuff happen — it's hot — Seamus isn't hot, but the moment was so hot!"

"What about Harry?" Parvati mused, looking away from her vanity to look at the blonde who was putting on her vest.

At the mention of Harry, Marjorie perked from her bed and abandoned all attempt on applying her mascara as she wheeled around. Hermione didn't seem to catch the mention of her best friend, though, as she continued with the war she was having with her hair.
