LXI. THE STORY OF US

"The battle's in your hands now

But I would lay my armour down"

HARRY AND RON WERE ABLE TO leave the hospital wing first thing on Monday morning, restored to full health by the ministration of Madam Pomfrey after having spent the whole weekend out of commission greeted enviously by those who were able to roam the castle in comparison to the bedridden them. And those people included Marjorie and Hermione, both of whom were amused by their constant complaints, so when they were able to leave, they rejoiced at the prospect of no longer being confined and enjoying the perks of having survived their ordeal, the best of which was the fact that Hermione was friends with Ron again.

"...their fights are getting very public these days, huh?" While waiting for Harry and Ron to change into their school robes so that they could go down for breakfast, Marjorie and Hermione sat on one of the cots, gossiping of what recently occurred in the common room. The topic of the day: Ginny and Dean's row.

"So you noticed too?" said Hermione, swaying her legs. "Frankly, I'm a bit surprised. They were very lovey-dovey the first half of them being together, but now all they've been doing was getting into quarrels, and neither of them are even shy to do it privately,"

Marjorie pursed her lips as she remembered last night. It definitely left the common room abuzz when the both of them had left for their dormitories, slightly ablaze. Though, she couldn't quite understand the whole reason they were having a row in the first place. It was honestly a small matter, yet to Ginny, it had seemed to rile her up a bit...

"You've been in a relationships," started Hermione. "A lot of them."

"Nice observation," said Marjorie flatly, "but all of my relationships were either never serious, treated me like I'm just a thing to pass the time with, or it's with the same person,"

"Different outcomes," Hermione reminded. "But what I'm interested is whether it's normal, you know? I've never had a long-term relationship before, so just curious..."

"Everyone's different... but knowing Ginny and Dean, they'll probably kiss and make up like they usually do," dismissed Marjorie, hopping off the cot right as Harry and Ron emerged from behind the curtains, tying their ties.

"What're we talking about?" Ron asked eagerly, his eyes flickering back and forth from Marjorie to Hermione, though lingering one the bushy-haired girl as she had handed him his school bag.

"Ginny and Dean had a row last night," Hermione said.

Ron's face twisted, while Harry quirked a brow.
