"I'll be there on their side

I'm losing by their side"

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU mean by what I did?" Hearing Draco moan and moan about her accusation was something Marjorie had no energy to confront as she followed Draco down the long corridors of his manor.

For some reason that they didn't even know, they were suddenly summoned — yes, it wasn't only Draco, and it was not only Marjorie. It was both of them. If that didn't tell Marjorie enough that they were either having early dinner or in deep trouble, then she didn't know what will.

"Oi, Evermore, I don't appreciate you accusing your saviour of something, you know?" said Draco, narrowing his eyes at her. "Especially since I just arrived back home a few hours earlier — honestly, aside from speaking to my mother and father, and unfortunately you, I've done nothing else to be accused about. You're the one who's been here!"

"Well, I don't exactly have the luxury to do something wrong without getting myself either tortured and killed, Malfoy." Marjorie rolled her eyes, "You think I want to get extra time with your aunt? One more session with Crucio and I might actually finally lose my mind," she added with a derisive tone.

Draco was about to retort when a look of sudden fear painted his already pale face. "Y-You don't think it's because we've never really consummated, right?"

At that, Marjorie spluttered in shock, scandalised.

"Whether we've consummated or not — which will never, by the way — should not be any of their business!" she said shrilly, hurrying down the large steps. "What happens in the bedroom should always be private. Goodness, Draco, I know you've got a well-knitted bond with your parents and all, but I didn't realise they need to know about —"

"They don't!" said Draco at once. "They know better than to crossed that line!"

"Oh, I'm sure they do," Marjorie said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "After all, it would be terrible if their precious only son were to think less of them, wouldn't it?"

"I would!" Draco shot back, defensive.

"Oh, don't lie," Marjorie retorted. "You can never hate either of your parents, especially if your mother is in concern, you mummy's boy,"

"I don't care if you're my wife, I will gladly throw you to the wolves," Draco snapped, his patience fraying.

Marjorie rolled her eyes. "Oh please, you wouldn't have the guts to face any real danger. You can't even stand the idea of stepping into the Black Lake. Try again."
