XXVIII. EROS AND HIS ARROWS

━━━━━━

"But I don't wanna ruin the moment

Lovely to sit between comfort and chaos"

"BLOODY HELL, YOU MESSED UP big time!"

Perhaps it was a mistake on Harry's part to tell his best friends about his dilemma between Cho and Marjorie. It was most definitely a mistake to tell his best friends that there was definitely a definitely a chance for Marjorie and him to flicker a fire once more, yet he had agreed on going to Hogsmeade on Valentine's Day with Cho.

And Ron was certainly right. He had definitely messed up.

Hermione smacked Ron for being tactless, "And you told her?"

"Who? Marjorie? No, I didn't need to tell her anything — you know how she is, Hermione. With just one glance she could understand it all," Harry poked his bacon with his fork, wanting to dig a grave for himself already.

Better yet, bring him to Voldemort. He would most definitely make his life better.

"If I could just turn back time..."

"Which, you won't be able to unless you got yourself a Time-Turner," mused Hermione, sipping on her coffee. "Though, too late now, isn't it? Time-Turners can only turn back time a couple of hours —"

"Yeah, I know," said Harry blandly.

"Blimey, mate. Wished I got a problem like that," snorted Ron, still finding his best friend's whole situation all and all entertaining. Hermione and Harry glared at him. "What?" he perked. "Imagine agreeing to go on a date with one of the prettiest girls in school by mistake when you're actually still in love with your ex-girlfriend. That's gold right there!"

"You know, if you knew things between you and Marjorie were getting great again, then why did you agree to go on a date with Cho? On Valentine's Day of all days too," Hermione inquired seriously.

"I didn't do it on purpose!" said Harry. "She caught me off guard — it kinda went like this..."

"Had a good Christmas?" asked Cho.

Harry shifted where he stood, "Um, yeah, not bad,"

"Mine was pretty quiet," said Cho. "Whenever I think about it, it really differs from the Christmas we had last year, huh? That Christmas was fun..."

"Sure," Frankly it wasn't really enjoyable for Harry. "Minus the whole rumour fiasco that happened after that though," He said, trying to save himself from the feeling of awkwardness that was reeling in by him.
