Tim had told Angela what had happened. Mainly because she did force it out of him. But she had to get the truth from what happened one way or another.
Angela knew Tim was an idiot. Angela knew Tim probably blew it. Angela knew Tim still loved Lucy. Angela knew a lot of things.
TIM POV
"She deserves better." I said for probably the hundredth time
"Yeah. One more time. Then maybe you'll believe it." Angela said
"That's not helping." I said
"Well. After everything you just told me. I'm restraining myself." Angela said
"From what?" I asked
"Smacking you." Angela said
"After everything that happened today. Lucy deserved to be with someone better than me. She deserves to be happy." I said
"She was happy." Angela said
"I have too many demons. It's not fair to her." I said,"I've been in therapy trying to work on them. It helping. I sometimes wish it wasn't so awkward between Lucy and I."
"Tim. I love you. You're my best friend. You've gone through a lot. But honestly. Lucy loves you. Even after everything. She's definitely upset with you. She's got every right to be." Angela said,'But. That being said. She does love you. Lucy does still care about you. She's upset. She's hurt. She's angry. Give her time. You have to give everything to her in small doses."
"Small doses?" I asked
"Show her you still feel for her the same way she does. In small doses. A smile. A small gesture." Angela said, But you have to do them on her time table. As many small doses as it takes."
"You're right." I said
"I'm never wrong." Angela said "You know that."
