March 03, 2026 (A day after Bryson's birth)Sophia's POV:
The apartment felt so different now. It wasn't just Bronny and me anymore. It was us, plus the little bundle of life in my arms. Bryson James. Our son. Our baby. I still couldn't believe it. His tiny fingers curled around mine, and every time I looked at his little face, my heart felt like it could burst.
I was sitting on the couch, my body still sore but my spirit glowing. Bronny was next to me, hovering like he always does, making sure I was comfortable. He couldn't stop smiling at Bryson. Every so often, he'd lean down and kiss his son's forehead, whispering something soft that made me melt.
The sound of the front door opening snapped us both out of our little bubble. I looked up and saw LeBron and Savannah walking in with a giant bouquet of flowers and what looked like push presents, followed by Bryce and Zhuri. Everyone's faces lit up the second they spotted Bryson in my arms.
"Oh my God," Savannah gasped, rushing over with wide eyes. "He's perfect! Absolutely perfect!"
LeBron's grin stretched from ear to ear. "Man, I finally got a grandchild. Look at him! He's got that James look already."
Bronny laughed. "Dad, he's like a day old. You can't tell yet."
"Yes, I can," LeBron argued playfully, bending down to get a closer look. His big hand was gentle as he touched Bryson's little blanket. "That's a James nose right there. Strong nose. He's gonna be a beast one day."
I laughed, shaking my head. "He's barely the size of your forearm."
Zhuri leaned over, standing on her tiptoes. "He's so small. I could probably hold him with one hand."
"Nope," Savannah cut her off quickly, giving her a sharp mom look. "You can hold him, but with both hands. And while you're sitting down."
Zhuri rolled her eyes but smiled anyway. "Fine. But he's really cute! He looks like Bronny!"
Bronny smirked proudly. "Of course he does."
Bryce came up last, quieter than the rest. He stood there for a moment, just staring at the baby with the softest expression I'd ever seen on him. Finally, he looked at me. "You guys named him after me?"
I nodded, smiling. "Yeah. Bryson James. After you and Bronny. You mean a lot to both of us, Bryce. We wanted him to carry your name too."
His eyes went glassy a bit, and he quickly looked away like he didn't want anyone to see him emotional. "That's... wow. Thank you, guys. That means a lot. Seriously."
Bronny clapped him on the shoulder. "You're Uncle Bryce now. Gotta step up."
Everyone laughed, the room filling with warmth.
Savannah sat next to me, her eyes still glued to Bryson. "He's such a blessing. You did so good, Sophia. I'm so proud of you."
Her words hit me deep, and I had to blink fast to keep from crying. "Thank you... it was hard, but worth it. Every bit."
Bronny wrapped his arm around me, pulling me close. "She was amazing. Strongest person I know."
LeBron grinned at his son. "And you? How are you feeling, Dad?"
Bronny chuckled nervously. "Man, I'm still in shock. Like, I'm somebody's father now. That's crazy."
LeBron nodded knowingly. "It's gonna change everything. But it's the best thing in the world. You'll see."
We spent the rest of the evening just talking, passing Bryson around the room, watching everyone's reactions as they got to hold him. Zhuri hummed softly to him, Bryce stared like he was memorizing every detail, and LeBron rocked him like he'd been waiting his whole life for a grandson.
At one point, I leaned back against the couch, looking around at everyone. My heart felt so full. I had Bronny beside me, our son in our arms, and this amazing family surrounding us.
For the first time in a long time, I wasn't nervous about the future. I wasn't scared of what was coming next. Because looking at Bryson, I knew—our future was already here.
