Taylor's POV

The last few weeks had been a blur—boxes, movers, and late nights trying to organize our new life in New York. I had technically already lived here, but this time it felt different. This wasn't just my space anymore; it was ours—Travis, Ivy, and me. We brought so much from Kansas, and now, my apartment had transformed into a true family home, complete with Ivy's toys scattered around and Travis's football memorabilia placed carefully alongside my awards.

I sank onto the couch, exhausted, my body heavy with fatigue. Ivy was finally down for her nap after a long morning of adjusting to the new nursery, which, despite being hers for months, now had all the comforts of home from Kansas. The familiar smell of her favorite blankets, the rocking chair Travis had made sure to bring, and her stuffed animals were finally in place. It had taken a lot out of me, though. I hadn't been feeling well the past couple of days, and today, every muscle in my body ached.

"You okay, babe?" Travis asked, stepping into the living room. He sat down next to me, resting his arm on the back of the couch.

"Yeah... just really tired," I sighed, rubbing my forehead. "I don't know what's going on, but I feel like I've been hit by a truck."

"You've been pushing yourself hard," he said, concern etched on his face. "You need to rest more. I'll take care of the rest of the unpacking."

I smiled, appreciating his thoughtfulness. He had been so hands-on during this whole moving process, making sure everything went smoothly for Ivy and me. But something else had been gnawing at the back of my mind, a lingering thought I couldn't shake.

"Travis," I said softly, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Yeah?" He leaned in closer, his eyes locking with mine.

"I... I just realized something. I'm late."

"Late?" He furrowed his brow, clearly confused for a moment before his eyes widened. "You mean... your period?"

I nodded slowly, biting my lip. "I haven't been feeling great, and I didn't really think about it with all the chaos of the move, but... it's been over a week since I was supposed to get it."

Travis's expression shifted from concern to excitement in a heartbeat. "You think you could be...?"

"I don't know." My heart started to race at the possibility, but a part of me was nervous. We had just gotten settled here, Ivy was barely a year old, and now the idea of another baby—though beautiful—felt overwhelming.

"Do you have a test?" he asked, his voice filled with hope. His hand found mine, and he gave it a reassuring squeeze.

"I don't, but I could run to the pharmacy and—"

"No way," Travis interrupted, standing up with a determined look on his face. "You stay right here. I'll go get one."

I couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm. "You don't have to—"

"I insist," he said, grabbing his keys. "I'll be back in no time."

As he left, I sank deeper into the couch, my mind racing. Could I really be pregnant again? The thought sent a wave of emotions through me. Ivy was still so young, and part of me worried about how I would manage. But another part of me felt the familiar flutter of excitement, remembering how it felt when I found out I was pregnant with Ivy.

True to his word, Travis was back in what felt like record time. He handed me the pregnancy test with a soft smile, his eyes full of love and anticipation.

"You sure you don't want to do this?" I teased, raising an eyebrow as I took the test from him.

"I'd offer, but I don't think it works that way," he joked, though there was a hint of nervousness in his tone.

I stood up, my legs feeling shaky as I headed to the bathroom. "I'll be right back."

The minutes that followed felt like the longest of my life. I stared down at the test, waiting for the result to appear. My heart thudded in my chest, a mix of nerves and excitement coursing through me.

Finally, the faint lines began to materialize, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Positive.

I opened the bathroom door, my legs feeling wobbly, and found Travis standing just outside, waiting for me.

"Well?" he asked, his voice filled with hope.

I held up the test, my eyes filling with tears. "I'm pregnant."

For a moment, we both just stood there, letting the words sink in. Then, in a heartbeat, Travis pulled me into his arms, holding me close as a wave of emotion washed over us.

"I can't believe it," he whispered into my hair, his voice thick with emotion. "Another baby. We're going to have another baby."

"I know," I whispered back, my face pressed against his chest. "I wasn't expecting this... but I'm so happy."

"We're going to be a family of four," he said, pulling back to look at me, his eyes glistening. "This is amazing."

I nodded, my heart swelling with love for this man, for Ivy, and now for the little life growing inside of me. "It really is."

As we stood there, holding each other in our new home, I knew that no matter what challenges came our way, we would face them together. This was the beginning of another beautiful chapter in our story—one that I couldn't wait to share with Travis, Ivy, and our new baby.
