The rest of the night not much happened, only that Bilbo doesn't want to sign the paper and that Heather had been arguing with him because of it. She wanted to go on this quest thingy, and she wouldn't let it get taken away from her. Not from her uncle, not from anyone. And now, well, it was the next day. Heather was already up and had changed her clothes but as she walked down, she saw that all of the dwarves were gone.
She literally ran through the house until she saw the paper, not signed from herself nor her uncle, laying on the table. She let out a sigh before she grabbed a pen and signed the paper before running into her uncle's room.
"Sign now. We are gonna help the dwarves to reclaim the home. Whether you like it or not, uncle."Heather said, her voice leaving no room for arguments as she placed the paper in his lap before she rushing away and into her room to pack her things.
She didn't packed much things honestly, she grabbed a small bag that wouldn't be too heavy. She slipped a dagger into her left boot and put a few throwing knives onto her belt and a sword on her waist. She grabbed the bag and put more knives in it as well as a few water bottles, perfume and a cloak if it gets cold.
The brunette put the bag around her shoulder and began to rush out to see her uncle also with his backpack, both ran out of the hobbit hole and through Hobbiton and towards the woods where the dwarves had gone off to. At least Heather assumed they would take this way.
"Wait!"Bilbo shouted, Heather half dragging him behind her as she was way faster.
"Wait!"He repeated, making all of them stop and turn around to face the two.
"We signed it."Heather informed as she handed the paper to Balin, who looked over it.
"Everything appears to be in order. Welcome master baggings and Lady Heather to the company of Thorin Oakenshield."Balin said.
"Give them a pony."Thorin odered.
"No,no, no. That won't be necessary. Thank you, but I'm sure u can keep up on foot."Bilbo said while Heather had already climbed on her pony with ease, raising her eyebrow at her uncle.
"I-I've done my fair share of walking holidays, you know? Even got as far as Frogmorton once."Bilbo said before he got pulled up on a pony, without any more time to protest.
Heather was riding beside Kili and Fili, out of boredom braiding the hair of her pony which was named eclipse.
"I knew you would come back."Kili grinned as Fili nodded.
"Indeed he did, wouldn't stop talking about it."
"Shut up."Kili grumbled at his brother as Heather grinned a bit.
"I wouldn't back down from an adventure, ever."Heather replied just as Bilbo began to talk again.
"Wait. Wait. Stop! We have to turn around."
"What on earth is the matter?"Gandalf asked.
"I forgot my handkerchief."Bilbo replied, making Heather let out a sigh.
"Here."Bofur spoke and ripped off a bit of clothing,"Use this."He added and threw it over.
"Move on."Thorin ordered.

It was now late in the night and the whole company was resting. Heather was beside Kili and leaned against the stone wall, using one of her knives to cut something into the stone out of boredom.
Some dwarves were already asleep(like Bombur), others were still fully awake.
The heat of the fire was holding Heather warm and giving her enough light to keep doing the cutting.
That was until a loud screeching was heard in the far distance, which Heather instantly recognized that it was from Orcs. The brunette looked away from her work, her hand gripping her knife as she looked into the distance.
"What was that?"Bilbo asked.
"Orcs."Kili replied.
"Orcs?"Bilbo asked again as he walked over to the rest of the awake ones.
"Throatcutters. There'll be dozens of them out there. The lone-land are crawling with them."Fili responded.
"They strike in the wee small hours. When everyone's asleep. Quick and quiet, no screams. Just lots of blood."Kili continue before he and Heather looked at each other, small chuckles leaving his and Fili's lips while Heather just smiled.
"You think that's funny?"Thorin spoke up, his voice showing clearly that he wasn't pleased of the laughers,"You think a night raid by orcs is a joke?"
"Wow, pipe down a level or two. We were just trying to have some fun. Is that forbidden or what?"Heather huffed, she knew about orcs, of course. She knew too much bout them and fought some already, and she knew that if they would be attacked by orcs it wouldn't be so funny but they were just trying to lighten the mood.
"We didn't mean anything by it."Kili replied, Heather nodded a bit in agreement.
"No, you didn't."Thorin agreed and walked away,"You know nothing of the world."
"Don't mind him, laddie. Thorin has more cause than most to hate orcs."Balin spoke up making Heather turn away as she fiddled and turned the knife in her hand,"After the dragon took the lonely mountain, king Thror tried to reclaim the ancient dwarf kingdom of Moria. But our enemy had got there first. Moria had been taken by Legions of orcs, led by the most vile of all their race.Azog, the Defiler. The giant Gundabad orc had sworn to wipe out the line of Durin. He began.. by beheading the king. Thrain, Thorin's father, was driven mad by grief. He went missing. Taken prisoner or killed, we did not know."
"We were leaderless. Defeat.. and death were upon us. That is when I saw him. A young dwarf prince facing down the pale Orc. He stood alone against this terrible foe. His armor rent, wielding nothing but an oaken branch as a shield. Azog the defiler learned that day that the line of durin would not be so easily broken. Our forces rallied.. and drove the orcs back. Our enemy had been defeated. But there was no feast.. nor song that night, for our dead were beyond the count of grief. We few had survived. And I thought to myself then.. there is one who I could follow. There is one. I could call king."Balin finished.
"And the pale orc?"Bilbo asked,"What happened to him?"
"He slunk back into the hole whence he came. The filth died of his wounds long ago."Thorin replied.
Heather let out a sigh before she placed the knife away and grabbed her blanket and pulled it over herself, knowing she should sleep now.
