Since now, this= ElvishIt took just a small while until they reached the end of the small way and could finally see where they were.
Rivendell. Heather recognized it almost instantly. She was here only mere months ago. It looked still as angelic, beautiful and magical as always.
"The valley of Imladris! In the common tongue, it's known by another name."Gandalf spoke.
"Rivendell."Heather breathed with a smile.
"Here lies the last homely house east of the sea."Gandalf continued.
"This was your plan all along."Thorin said, seeming everything but pleased about the fact that they were in an elvish land,"To seek refuge with our enemy."
"Enemy?"Heather asked confused. Yeah, she knew that the dwarves aren't very fond of elves. But enemy is quite a strong word, and she wouldn't name it like that.
"You have no enemies here, Thorin Oakenshield. The only ill will to be found in this valley is that which you bring yourself."Gandalf responded.
"You think the elves will give our quest their blessing? They will try to stop us."Thorin argued.
"Yes, and?"Heather asked,"It's not like we would stop."She shrugged.
"Of course they will."Gandalf agreed,"But we have questions that need to be answered. If we are to be successful, this will need to be handled with tact. And respect. And no small degree of charm. Which is why you will leave the talking to me..and Heather."
It didn't took long until they reached Rivendell and it was beautiful, angelic even.
"Mithrandir! Heather!"An elf with flawless brown hair called out.
"Lindir!"Heather said with a small smile and bowed her head in respect.
"We heard you had crossed into the Valley."Lindir spoke.
"I must speak with Lord Elrond."Gandalf said.
"My lord Elrond is not here."
"Not here? Where is he?"Gandalf asked that was when a horn was heard, making everyone turn around.
Then, Elves on horses began to ride towards them which made Thorin shout something in dwarvish, leading to the action from Kili to pull heather(who was confused) closer to himself.
"Gandalf."Elrond spoke.
"Lord Elrond. My friend." Gandalf greeted as Heather moved away from Kili and closer to view instead.
"Heather, my dear."Elrond said as he smiled softly at the younger girl.
"Lord Elrond!"Heather smiled and bowed her head,"amazing to see you again, my friend. Where have you been?"Heather asked, shocking a few dwarves as to they didn't know that she could speak elvish. And that so good.
"We've been hunting a pack of Orcs that came up from South. We slew a number near the Hidden pass."Elrond explained as he got off his horse, making Heather rush up to him and gave him a hug. The elf patter her back as he continued to talk,"Strange for Orcs to come so close to our borders. Something or some has drawn them near."
"My apologies, that might've been us."Heather replied.
"Indeed."Gandalf agreed with a small nod just as Elrond finally turned to the dwarves.
"Welcome, Thorin, son of Thrain."Elrond greeted as he let go of Heather.
"I do not believe we have met."Thorin said.
