The company has been walking through the forest for a while now, Heather staying close to Fili and Kili and the rest. She did not want to get lost, like Gandalf said they needed to stay on the path.

They walked and walked and walked, but something seemed damn off.

Heather's head was hurting slightly and her vision was kinda blurrier than usual. Her mind was slightly foggy yet she could still think clear enough to know that this forest is anything but good. She shook her head a bit, making the feeling mostly go away.

"We found the bridge."Kili pointed out as Heather stepped beside him, looking at the bridge that well wasn't really a bridge anymore. It looked like it had broken down into itself through the middle, making it impossible to walk over it and cross the river over it.

"We could try and swim it."Bilbo suggested.

"No, Uncle. A dark magic lies upon this forest. Gandalf said we shouldn't go into the water because it's enchanted."Heather explained, using her hands a bit while talking.

"Doesn't look very enchanting to me."Bofur said.

"We must find another way across."Thorin stated, seemingly agreeing with the words Heather had spoken.

"These vines look strong enough."Kili spoke up again as he stood in a thick branch, he tried to move forward but Thorin called out for him before he could.

"Kili! We sent the lighter first."

All gazes fell on Bilbo and Heather. Bilbo was the first to step on the vines and branches, and before Heather could follow, Kili had pulled her back.

"Wha-"

"Stay."Kili interrupted the brunette,"I know you're the lightest of us, but just say put before we know it's really safe."

"So, we are sending my uncle forward to look if the vines could take our weights and I have to stay put?"Heather asked as she furrowed her eyebrows while looking at the brunet dwarf.

"Yes, exactly."Kili said with a small smile.

"What an amazing idea."Heather said while wiggling out of his grasp,"I'm not playing part in it. I'm brave enough and light enough to climb over these vines. So I'm going to do it."Before Kili could protest again Fili had placed a hand on his younger brother's shoulder.

"Let her try, brother. She can do it."Fili reassured, even though Kili knew Heather can do it, he just doesn't want her to touch the water or hurt herself accidentally. The wounds she had received from the orcs just healed a day or two ago, he didn't wanted her to have new ones in such a short timeline.

"I can she can. I don't want her to get hurt."Kili murmured.

"I know."Fili patted his brother's back as he watched how Heather followed after her uncle.

It wasn't exactly as easy crossing the river over the vines as Heather had thought, but she did not touch the water. Even though Bilbo almost fell into it but got up with Heather's help again.

But as soon as they stepped into land again, Heather wasn't sure if this all was a good idea.

"Something's wrong."She murmured.

"Yes."Bilbo agreed,"Something's not right. It's not right at all. Stay where you are!"

"Oh."Heather winced as she saw that all of the dwarves were already climbed and jumped over the branches and vines.
