Heather and Bilbo have been checking on the orc pack which were on their tail for days now to see how far away they are. Heather turned to the side after she had heard a growling sound and let out a small gasp while nudging her uncle, nodding towards the huge bear-looking animal. They both glanced at each other before they began to run back towards the dwarves and Gandalf to tell them about what they just saw.
"How close is the orc pack?"Thorin asked as soon as they came into the view.
"Too close. A couple of leagues, no more."Heather informed as she stopped.
"But that's not the worse of it."Bilbo said, catching his breath.
"Have the wargs licked up our scent?"Dwalin questioned.
"Not yet. But they will do."Bilbo replied,"We have another problem."
"Did they see you? They saw you."Gandalf spoke.
"'No thats not it."
"What did I tell you? Quiet as a mouse."Gandalf smiled, the dwarves nodding and speaking in agreement,"Excellent burglar material."
"Will you just listen?!"Heather called out, waving her hand in slight frustration and panic, making everyone quiet down,"We are trying to tell you, there is something else out there."
"What form did it take? Like a bear?"Gandalf asked.
"Y...Yes, but bigger. Much bigger."Bilbo replied, a little bit confused at first as to why Gandalf knew.
"You knew about this beast?"Bofur asked before turning to the others,"I say we double back."
"And he run down by a pack of orcs?"Thorin pointed out.
"I don't believe we are prepared to face them again. Not in the slightest. Yet."Heather spoke in all honestly, a few dwarves nodded and mumbling in agreement.
"There is a house.."Gandalf spoke up again,"It's not far from here. Where we might, uh, take refuge."
"Whose house? Are they friend or foe?"Thorin asked.
"Neither."Gandalf responded,"He will help us or...he will kill us."
"Oh, how reassuring."Heather said sarcastically, tilting her head to the side a bit.
"What choice do we have?"Thorin asked before a loud roar was heard behind them, not too far away.
"None."Gandalf replied.

Now, the whole company was following after Gandalf who was leading the way towards the house he had talked about, not only the orc pack at their tale but the huge bear thing too.
"To the house! Run!"Gandalf shouted as they got closer to the house, none would stop under any circumstances as the beast got closer to them,"come on!Get inside!"
"Open the door!"Gandalf shouted as every dwarf threw themselves against the door and tried to open it.
"Quickly!"Thorin added as he looked back at the huge beast that was coming too close.
"Oh my god, are you guys fucking dumb?"Heather shouted as she opened the door easily by flicking the wooden switch, making everyone run inside ignoring her insult for now.
"Push!"
"Push!"
Everyone tried to close the door as the bear stuck its mouth in between the door making Heather push herself harder against the door. And soon enough, to their luck, they managed to close the door. Heather let out a sigh and leaned against the wall, catching her breath.
