"Have you spoken to Taehyung about any outing you might have considered?" Dr. Yoo asked him as they were on their way to physiotherapy.
"I haven't had the chance to yet, but maybe after his treatment I'll bring it up to him," Jungkook replied with a smile. He had a few ideas in mind for what they could do, providing Taehyung would be up for it.
"After you're finished with his massage, take him to bathe and then have dinner. I think having a routine will be good for him. It will also be good for you, to continue building rapport and show consistence in care."
They were approaching the treatment area before Jungkook slowed, looking at his mentor. "What should I do if he tries to get me into the shower with him again?" he asked quietly, noticing an orderly passing by in the hall.
"I won't tell you what to do," the doctor began, stopping to look at the resident. "Whatever you might feel would be most beneficial to the patient is what you should do."
"I don't know, though," Jungkook quickly replied, eyebrows furrowed. "It might feel wrong to do it, and it might feel wrong to not do it. I'm worried about what anyone might think if they saw..." he trailed off, shaking his head. "I'm torn."
Dr. Yoo looked at him for a moment, eyes softening more than Jungkook had seen before. "Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Progress looks different for everyone, and only you and Taehyung should matter when it comes to the process. Decide for yourself, and for him, what you think is right and not what others might find wrong," he began, again moving forward as he took Jungkook into the room. "If anyone has a problem, they can come to me."
Jungkook laughed a little, still feeling awkward and uneasy when it came to others' thoughts and opinions. His smile brightened, though, when he saw Taehyung being led into the room by one of the physical therapy assistants. The patient had his eyes cast to the floor, sitting on his usual padded bench as he waited for his treatment.
"Ah, good afternoon, Sophie," Dr. Yoo spoke, gesturing for Jungkook to help with her. "How are you doing today?"
"Much better now," the woman purred, waggling her eyebrows at Jungkook, who gave a dismissive laugh as he began to stretch her leg, focusing on her knee. "Dr. Feel Good is here."
"Behave yourself," Jungkook chastised lightly, glancing towards his mentor. "Or you're going to miss out on your massage again."
The woman laughed, eyes shining as she laid back in ease. "You're right, Dr. Yoo is no fun. I'll behave," she spoke, smiling at Jungkook. "I can be good if it means I'll get your hands on me."
"Sophie," Dr. Yoo said, a warning tone as he regarded her.
Jungkook continued her treatment, warming her up before giving her exercises to be helped by the assistant. When she was finished doing her reps, he began to lather her knee with ointment, massaging it into her sore joint.
"Feels good," she practically moaned, using her free foot to circle around Jungkook's waist, urging him closer. "You can touch me anywhere, everywhere, with those hands of yours."
Carefully removing her leg from around his waist, Jungkook sighed as he continued the treatment. "Come on, now, you need to behave. We're almost done."
"What a pity," she sighed, silently allowing Jungkook to finish. When she was ready to go, she gave him a brief hug and a bright smile, leaving with an assistant without incident.
"I think you're making good progress with her, too," Dr. Yoo commented, having just finished up with Jonah. "I'm doing Minam's hydrotherapy next door again. Please begin Taehyung's treatment. If you need anything, let me know. Otherwise, make sure he does hip abductors, I noticed it myself when he walked in that his gait is uneven."
