The trip to the market was fun, easygoing even. The pair walked up and down every aisle, Taehyung not saying a word but in his own, silent way, asking Jungkook what certain things were and if he could try them. When they left, they had bags of ingredients for dinner, along with many unnecessary junk foods.

Taehyung frowned, humming. “Last time you said Dr. Yoo was saying I couldn’t eat sweets,” he said with a pout.

“He just said not to go overboard,” Jungkook corrected with a smile, receiving one in return. How? How is he so beautiful? He wondered, heartbeat fluttering. “But I trust you to know your body and when to stop,” he added, warmth in his voice.

Walking around the kitchen counter, Taehyung rested his cheek against Jungkook’s back. “Okay, Jungkookie.”

“How are you doing? We had a pretty big day, pretty long,” Jungkook asked, hoping it wouldn’t sour the mood.

“I’m doing fine,” Taehyung said quietly. “I don’t want to go back, but I know I have to. One day at a time, and each moment by moment, right, Jungkookie?”

“That’s right, my love.”

Taehyung placed a soft kiss on Jungkook’s nape, the man breaking out in goosebumps under the tender gesture. “Can I look around?” he asked him, causing Jungkook to chuckle.

“Sure, but there’s nothing interesting,” he replied, Taehyung wandering off afterward. Jungkook hummed, feeling happy as he continued to fix dinner.

“Tae, dinner’s done,” Jungkook called out to the other, who had disappeared down the hall nearly an hour prior.

Before Jungkook could worry, Taehyung came back into the kitchen and sat at the table, a smile on his face as he looked at the other. “Spaghetti,” he commented, smile heard through his voice.

“Spaghetti,” Jungkook confirmed with a giggle, gesturing to the dishes on the table as he sat down. “Garlic bread, salad. Help yourself,” he added.

“You’re a chef,” Taehyung said, beginning to place rations on the plates in front of him. “Do you like to cook?”

“I do,” Jungkook nodded, watching Taehyung before beginning to build his own meal, “but I don’t do it often. Sometimes I experiment with recipes, try to find ways to elevate simple convenience foods to something more… I don’t think this is an appropriate word for it, but gourmet,” he finished with a laugh.

“You do a lot of things.”

“I like keeping busy, since I was young.”

“Doctor, pianist, gymnast, chef,” Taehyung listed, taking a bite of his salad. “Good at sex stuff.”

Jungkook nearly choked on his drink, coughing a few times as his face flushed deep pink. “Sex stuff?” he asked, laughing as he continued to clear his throat, surprised.

“Yeah,” Taehyung replied after he calmed down, the coughing having seemed to scare him, “kissing, touching, going down; sex stuff.”

The other’s cheeks stayed heated, the red reaching the tips of his ears as he laughed, more fond this time. “Taehyung, you’re good at ‘sex stuff’, too.”

“I don’t know. I’ve never done anything before,” the other began, “I’m probably not as good as someone experienced. Have you done a lot of sex stuff before?”

staring at his plate with a mostly blank expression before he frowned, voice quiet and sulky as he asked, “since you like having sex with women, is that why you like Sophie?”
