Tracing Parted Hearts

The wind was howling intensely and I expected a downpour. I reluctantly left the small desk area to close the windows. It was a Saturday morning and I had planned to have Levi come over. Levi was my middle school mate and we used to get along a lot. At a point, I had a huge crush on him but fortunately, before high school, I was out of it. I had informed him through text that I was around and he asked to see me since it had a been a long while. I was expecting him anytime soon.

'Grandee!" Rheana called out behind my door. She budged in right after. She was in her night dress and I figured she had just woken up. There's a private jet outside and I think I saw your boyfriend come out of it. "Jaime!" I exclaimed.

"How can you tell? You've never seen him." I questioned. "Isn't this him?" She asked, showing me a picture on Instagram from an influential account. I found this while I was digging up on him. "Oh! That's him." I agreed. Then he's here.

I rushed to Rheana room cos I could only see the green field from her windows.
There Jaime stood in blue back polo shirt tucked into a pair of black trousers. He wore sunglasses and he looked around the entire place slowly.
"He even looks better in person, wow!" Rheana remarked in awe.
"What's he doing here?" I asked. "You went missing and you've been refusing to pick his calls, what do you expect?"
Rheana responded.
"Well tell him I'm not around if you get the chance." I said as I rushed out, my mind blowing.

About forty minutes later, there was a knock on my door. "Grandee!" my mom called out. I had wrapped myself fully in duvet, blushing at the fact that Jaime made it all the way to see me and grimacing at the fact that it was a wrong move should his mum find out. I didn't want my mum to find out about us either.

I had taken a quick shower and combed my hair neatly just because Jaime was around and now that I had been to bed again, it was messed up.

My mum entered. "You've got two visitors." She let out. She was holding a folded napkin and wore an apron so I figured she was on some cooking. "Two?" I asked. "Okay coming." I shouted out before she shut the door close.
I hadn't talked to Jaime for almost four full days and I was starting to get anxious. Last evening when he called, I picked up and impulsively ended after he called "baby." I had some mass explanations to do. Well, he had some to do too.

I shook my head and cleared my throat before leaving my room. I descended the stairs slowly, turning and tilting my head to get a look at them but they were not in sight from my position.

They were all seated at the large dining area, my mum, Jaime, Rheana and Levi. "Oh Levi, you're here already." I let out upon seeing Levi, trying my best to avert my gaze from Jaime. "Join us." My mum ushered. "This is your son?" Jaime asked my mom. "Oh yes!" She replied. "Mr. Moore, this is Grandee, Grandee, this is Jaime." She introduced. I was very much confused. Jaime gave me a sharp wink and quickly, I knew he was up to something.

He immediately stood up and pulled the chair next to him backwards, signaling me to have a seat. I sighed.

I was very nervous so I devoted my full attention to Levi, asking him numerous questions about how things were going in his life, completely ignoring Jaime.
Levi was a big talkative so he kept talking non stop only pausing to shove some cakes in his mouth and gulp some tea.

"Over the past thirty minutes, while I baked these cakes, Mr. Moore has discussed a business proposal." My mom had our attention. "You could relay it to my smart kids, if you have their consent, then I have no issue." She proceeded.

Levi would constantly look at me, then at Jaime and back at me. I hoped he wouldn't find anything fishy.

Rheana cleared her throat. "So what's the deal?" She asked Jaime.
"I'd like to open up a Moore shop in your mum's department store". It'll sell stress reducing portable machines crafted by the Moore company." Jaime informed. "I'd also like to put up a huge warehouse on the sandy field to store some products." He added. Rheana and I stared back at each other.

I wondered if he happened to come to my house coincidentally with a business proposal for my mom or he had other motives too. He didn't look shocked when he first saw me here too. That means it was the latter.

"The surface is understandable but I'd like to have in-depth knowledge of your plans. We'd then know when you start to deviate." I uttered. Jaime nodded. "You know, frauds are abundant these days so it's only best that we take caution." I continued. "I agree." My mum consented.

"I'd also see to it that legal procedures are appreciably carried out if you're still willing to go ahead with it." Rheana stepped in.
"I'm very much ready to adhere. I brought in some contract papers." Jaime said as he handed over papers to Rheana to look through.

While at it my mom left with Jaime to check the sandy field and Levi and I gathered the breakfast plates and coffee cups into the sink.

Levi went on about his girlfriend but I couldn't relate so I just kept nodding to whatever he said. Apparently they recently had some crisis and they're dealing with it in hostile ways. "Communication is key." I said. "That's just cliche" Levi brushed me off.

I later went to the park with Levi. We met a lot of our old friends. I really had a good time and I loved it. Levi almost took me around the whole town, invoking nostalgia and hometown glory. I was very exhausted when it was all done.

I trekked back home after I had seen Levi off. The day had been a short and night came by quick.

I got home and Jaime was still around. "Aren't you leaving?" I asked. "Don't be rude." My mum fired. "His jet hasn't made it back here so he might have to spend the night in the guest room." My mom said. "Wha..."  I didn't want to be dramatic so I just let it go.

I couldn't sleep properly. I'd wake up after every five minutes. I went downstairs to the kitchen to get some water.
At the nosing of the stairs, I stopped and decided to go talk with Jaime.
I knocked gently at the door. "Come in." He said.
"I expected you." He revealed The lights were off and I was struggling to see. He took my hands and pushed me backwards against the wall. I was very nervous. He extended one hand to turn on the light.

He was barely clothed and his hair was wet. He drew me in and hugged me closely. I pushed him off with some might.
"Why are you here?" I asked. "Shhh." He place his finger on my lip. He tilted his head and kissed my cheek, progressing to my lip. "I have missed you so much." Jaime let out
"Well this would've been easier for us both if you didn't decide not to talk to me because I met your mum." I blamed.
"I have my men follow you around and their cameras had me see this cute one every moment you spent outside." He revealed. "Oh I've had enough of you!" I fired.

He stared at me for a while. He suddenly slammed my lips with his. He passed his hands around my back and waist, kissing me passionately.

I managed to get out of his grip and made my way back to my room. I was a little panicked. I wrapped myself in the bed and shut my eyes.
After about a minute, I heard the door open slowly. Jaime entered and joined me on the bed despite my almost inaudible protests.
