It looked like an empty car park in the basement of an abandoned building. There was no one around and the only sound was coming from dripping water from the pipes.
I got up slowly to find an escape route but my feet was tied with a chain to the long metal pole. Desperate, I tried all that could come to mind to break the lock but it was futile.
Tired, I laid before the pole sobbing silently.

A tall muscular figure was approaching. He was in a tank top and army cargos. He came into the light and I took a better look when the silhouette disappeared. His face was very bushy and he looked very cold. There was not a word uttered to me. He unbuckled the chain from the pole with unnecessary seriousness.

"Up!" He commanded in a deep voice and immediately started to walk away signaling me to follow him.
The chain was still tied to my feet so as I tracked along it produced very irritating noises. I didn't know where we were headed to but I knew it could be no better.

We descended staircase that led to a further part of the basement, having more pipes than the previous.
"Why am I here?" I asked him. "Shuu." He shut me up with his index against his lips. "Stay patient and comply." He instructed.
We walked further to a much lighted area where there were three people, one seated and the two others standing around.
Hahaha!" The sound echoed.

The mascular man grabbed the chain and jerked me forward following my reluctance which almost got me on the floor.
"Simon! That's my beloved son's sweetheart. Be gentle with him." The familiar feminine voice shouted.

"Come here Grande." She called. I realized it was Jaime's mother.

"As expected." I fired. "Oh yes! I'm predictable so you don't have to worry about what my next move will be." Mrs. Moore uttered with a wide smile. ""Make yourself comfortable on the seat." She said as she pointed to the seat opposite her.

"I'm going to have you transfer schools, compensate you a sum of money in return to be out of Jaime's life. If that's too much for you , I'm going to dispose you in the middle of the road with a planned accident leaving no evidence behind." I gasped loudly. "The choice is yours." Mrs Moore added.

I was speechless. I now understood why Jaime said he knew what his mom was capable of.

"You'd be leaving this city immediately you get out of here. You can also choose to ponder over it and elongate your stay here. The choice is all yours." She concluded with a wide smile.

"I would leave this city." I shouted suddenly when she picked her bag to leave. I thought of all the people who'd be pained to have lost me if the unfortunate happened.

"You must agree that I'm very warm hearted. Consider the mess I would've made if I has slaughtered you off without leaving you any choices. Now you can reconsider the colors you deem fit for me." Mrs. Moore let out.

"Get him ready for the next train." Mrs. Moore ordered, throwing her hands in the air as she left, creating echoing sounds with her heels.

"Do you really have to escort me?" I asked the tall mascular man. "Do you have a problem?" He enquired with annoyance as he shoved me into the back seat of the car.
"I need to go grab some stuff." I pleaded. "I'd find means to convey all your stuff to you, it's late now." He answered, sounding less bitter this time.

"My boyfriend, Jaime, he can pay you better if you help me out." I said, trying to stop him from sending me away. He looked back at me and let out a little laugh and shook his head.

"Where's my phone? I had it with me." I questioned. "I'll hand it over once you get into the train." He answered . "What?!" I exclaimed.

"I would've disappeared into a little hole if I were you. I seen numerous people mercilessly punished by Mrs. Moore but this is the first time she's shown mercy. Don't ruin your chance." He advised.

"I'm definitely too big for that hole." I retorted. He was quiet.
"Anyway, your name?" I asked. "Dallas." He responded after a while. "There is a shirt next to you, you can change." Dallas suggested. "Thanks!" I appreciated

I slept throughout the journey in the train. I was very tired and exhausted. It was a six hour journey. I was glad cos there was no time to mull over recent events.

I alighted from the taxi and was met with the bright rays of the sunrise. I had no luggage, only the crossbar from when I was kidnapped. I took a look around the environment. Nothing had really changed except the overgrown fence planters. It was a very sunny and serene day. There was no one basking around in sight and the only thing on the road were some few parked cars. I hadn't been back here since I was a fresher. I walked up to the huge black gate. "Why isn't it locked?" I wondered. I entered through calmly, recalling numerous memories from the past.

I went inside. We usually kept the key under an old flower pot when we were all not around. I looked down there and did find it.
I loved my house. It was a ranch style store building with numerous glass sliding windows. It had a large fence which covered the large grass field and the garden in the backyard. The fence went further the cover a very large sandy field my mum decided to make a farm out of buy didn't go through. There was a fence that also separated the house and grass field from the sandy land. Despite its aesthetics, there was no appreciable peace in there. Everyone was as busy with their own business so we barely interacted. "Back to this old life." I murmured.

Suzzy might've panicked so much after the incident. She paints an exaggerated picture of almost everything so I decided to contact her right when I finished showering in my room upstairs.

"Grandee!" She exclaimed loudly. "Oh my God you're alive. How're you? Where are you?" She rattled continuously without granting me a chance to answer. "We've been so worried about you. Jaime came up to me and interrogated me with worry." She continued.
"I'm fine, I'm alright." I responded. "I'm back at home, everything is well". I added.
"Tell me what happened." Suzzy demanded. "Can we do that after I've relaxed, I'm tired" I replied. "Promise to call later in the afternoon." She pleaded. "I definitely will." I assured.

I had actual been through an ordeal and to be very honest, I was so scared.
I had still missed Jaime but I didn't want to contact him for fear of what happens next. I just laid down to rest.

It was about 4pm when I woke up. "Oh I slept for eight good hours during the day?" I was shocked. Yet, I didn't have energy to get up.

Since I got into a relationship with Jaime, there was always something to worry about. I never had it that tough so I was drowning in wrenching emotions anytime it occurred to me.
And now I had to assume everything is non existent. My love, our bond, our memories, I had to let it all go in exchange for my life and peace.

Another part of me would rather die than live without Jaime.

"My King❤️." The caller name appeared on my phone screen as it vibrated. At that instant, I had forgotten everything and only knew about how I really yearned to see and talk to Jaime. I was a quick one. I picked it up rather hastily and slapped it against my ear. In a low time with Jaime spoke. "Baby."
