"BELOVED BY THE TWINS"
by: Dark Flame MasterIt was early in the morning and Shin sat in his classroom lost in thought. His mind was racing but his face held a huge smile. Just then, Juri walked in and noticed Shin looking unusually cheerful.
"What’s going on with him? Did he finally go crazy?" Juri wandered to herself as she stepped further into the classroom. She was relieved that they were the only two there.
"Cutie! Cutie!" Juri called but he didn't respond. He seemed completely dazed. She walked over and gently slammed her hand on his desk.
"SHIN!" she yelled, startling him out of his thoughts.
He jumped, eyes wide. "Don't scare me like that!" Shin said, looking at Juri who sat down beside him.
"I've been calling you forever," she said, crossing her arms. "What’s up with you today?"
Shin blushed, clearly embarrassed. "N-nothing," he said while avoiding her gaze.
"You're acting weird today. How should I say it? You're being annoying." Juri said, raising an eyebrow. "Did something happen?"
His cheeks turned even redder. "Um, well... maybe," he mumbled, unsure if he should share his excitement.
Juri's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Don't tell me the twins asked you out!" she said, her voice rising with enthusiasm.
Shin's face turned red as he nodded. "They really did?" she asks trying to suppress a grin. "So, what happened next?" she asked, leaning closer.
"We're going out... I think?" Shin replied, his voice trailing off.
"Why do you say it like that?" Juri asked, tilting her head.
"How am I supposed to know? It’s my first time going out with someone. What do couples usually do?" he admitted, looking genuinely confused.
"Why are you asking me? I don’t have all the answers," Juri said, chuckling lightly.
"Didn’t you have any experience? Do you want me to call you 'Master'?" Shin teased, trying to lighten the mood.
"Stop that! You don't need to call me that," Juri replied, laughing. "But I can tell you that when Ai and I go out we went on a lot of dates."
"What kind of date?" Shin asked eagerly.
Before Juri could answer their classmates began to enter the room. A few minutes later, the teacher walked in.
"Good morning, class!" the teacher said brightly.
"Good morning!" the students replied in unison, standing up.
"Take your seats. Before we start the lesson, I’m going to pass out this career form. You’re all in your last year now so it’s time to think about your future. I expect everyone to hand it in by next Monday," the teacher explained, distributing the papers.
As Shin took the form, he felt a wave of anxiety wash over him. He really needed to start thinking seriously about what he wanted to do with his life. With a sigh, he slipped the paper into his bag.
The lesson began and the teacher pointed to a science problem on the board. "Whoever answers this correctly will be exempt from the quiz this Friday!"
No one raised their hand. The question was hard and they hadn't covered it in class. Whispers started to circulate.
"Isn’t that from the wrong lesson?" one student murmured.
