"BELOVED BY THE TWINS"

SHIN'S POV

“Happy birthday, Shin,” Ruka and Luca said in unison, though their voices were a little off-timed.

I smiled, feeling my heart swell with happiness. “Thank you. I really love what you did with everything.”

“Come sit on the sofa. We know you’re tired,” Ruka said, guiding me gently toward the couch.

As we sat down, I couldn’t help but glance around the living room. The decorations were a little… well, messy to say the least. I let out a small laugh unable to contain it.

“How did you manage to decorate my room so perfectly this morning, but now… this looks like a disaster?” I teased, still chuckling.

Ruka’s face turned a bit red, and he fumbled with his words. “W-well, we didn’t have much time to decorate now…”

Luca laughed softly beside me. “The decorations you saw in your room this morning, we actually did that last night while you were sleeping.”

Hearing that made me feel even more grateful. “Thank you, really,” I said, pulling both of them into a hug. They were sitting on either side of me and it felt nice to have them close.

“Look, Shin,” Ruka suddenly said, holding up his wrist.

I glanced at it and noticed something familiar. A bracelet, just like mine. Luca held up his wrist too showing me the same thing.

“Isn’t it beautiful? Your mom gave these to us earlier,” Luca said, smiling.

And just like that, I remembered what Mom had mentioned earlier about them asking her permission to date me. My face immediately heated up and I blushed furiously.

“You two!” I blurted out, covering my face with my hands.

“What?” Ruka asked, confused.

“How could you just ask my mom if you could d-date me on your first meeting?!” I said, my embarrassment turned into playful frustration. I grabbed a pillow and started hitting them with it trying to hide how flustered I was.

“What’s wrong with that?” Ruka said, laughing as he shielded himself from my pillow attack. “Isn’t it better to ask as early as possible?”

I groaned, burying my face in my hands. “But still! What would you have done if Mom didn’t approve?”

Luca gently pulled my hands away from my face, his voice soft and reassuring. “Shin, don’t worry about that. Let’s just eat, okay?”

I nodded, feeling my heart settle as they both smiled at me. The atmosphere became a little lighter and I suddenly remembered something.

“Oh, wait! I have something to give you two,” I said excitedly, reaching for the plushies I had won earlier at the arcade.

Ruka raised an eyebrow, already knowing what I was about to pull out. “I’m guessing it’s the dogs you were holding earlier?”

“Yeah,” I said with a grin, holding up the two plush dogs. “I won them at the arcade. They remind me of you two.”

Luca laughed, clearly amused. “How are we the same as those toys?”

“That’s a secret,” I said, playfully sticking my tongue out.

“You’re getting naughtier by the day, aren’t you?” Luca teased, smiling at me.

I just shrugged and smiled. Then I remembered something else. “Oh, and this—Mom gave it to me earlier. It’s a bottle of wine.”
