"BELOVED BY THE TWINS"

SHIN'S POV

After watching the movie, we stepped outside the theater. But to be honest I’m not even sure if I can say I “watched” it. The truth is after Ruka and Luca kissed me, my mind was spinning too fast to keep up with what was happening on screen. It was such a waste of money and time. I had been so excited to finally see Slam Dunk but because of those two I barely paid attention to it.

"Hey, are you not happy? It’s a good movie though," Ruka said as he stretched his arms above his head.

I mumbled under my breath, "Well, you would think so, since you actually watched it."

"Huh? What did you say?" Ruka asked, tilting his head curiously.

"Nothing. I just said I'm hungry," I covered it quickly, hoping he’d drop it.

Luca, who was grinning ear to ear, chimed in, "I really liked the part when they got caught swimming in the onsen."

I tried to play along, nodding with a smile, "Oh, that part? Yeah, it was really funny."

But Ruka wasn’t fooled. “The movie doesn’t have a scene like that,” he pointed out with a chuckle.

Luca leaned in closer, a mischievous look in his eyes. “So, you didn’t actually watch it, did you, Shin?”

I looked away, feeling a blush rise on my cheeks. “O-Okay, fine! I didn’t really watch it. But that’s because of you two! You suddenly started k-kissing me in there…” My face grew even hotter as I trailed off, hiding behind my hands.

"So, did you like it?" Ruka asked softly, clearly amused by my reaction.

"How could I? I didn’t even get to enjoy the movie!” I mumbled, my face still warm.

"No, we’re asking about the kiss," Luca clarified, his grin still in place.

"Wha—" I stumbled over my words, my cheeks burning with embarrassment. "I-I...I'm hungry. Let’s just go eat!"

They exchanged a look but let it slide, and soon we were heading to a nearby restaurant. Once we were seated and had ordered, I started to relax. That is until Ruka leaned over picking up where we left off. "About the kiss..."

I could feel my face flush again. “I… I think I need some water. I’ll go ask for some,” I said, trying to escape the topic.

Ruka chuckled softly, shaking his head. “Shin, calm down, would you?”

"I am calm!” I said, trying to keep my composure. “What are you talking about? Ha…ha…ha…”

Then, without warning, I felt Luca reach across the table, taking my hand gently in his. “Hey, Shin, you like us, don’t you?”

Caught off guard by his straightforward question, I glanced down at our joined hands and then back at him, nodding. “Yeah, of course, I do. Why do you ask?”

Ruka gave me a reassuring smile. “We just wanted to talk but it’s okay if you don’t feel ready to answer.”

Curiosity got the better of me. “What is it?”

The twins shared a brief look before Ruka spoke up again. “We know that… well, that you’re scared of going beyond kissing. And that’s perfectly okay. You can trust us you know.”
