Vegas loved sports cars.

Since he was young, he had owned a Maseratti, Bugatti, and Lamborghini. Once he was allowed to move into his own home, he took all the cars with him. He still wanted to live downtown despite the size of the house available and ended up renovating almost the entire first floor of his house into a garage for his cars.

The kitchen, living room, dining room and bedroom were all located on the second floor. The second floor seemed a bit crowded but he did prefer small houses. Even after he got married, there was not the slightest thought of moving to a bigger place.

Yes, he was already married.

He married in September 2019, exactly one month ago.

Vegas threw all the money he had just stolen to the taxi driver and immediately got out of the car. The house was still as he remembered. He didn't have the key, but luckily, he installed a new type of lock after he got married. He typed the passcode into the machine and the front door opened.

There was only one thought he had ever since he had just opened his eyes.

He ran to the second floor and opened the door of the room close to the living room.

"Pete!!"

He had hoped that the man would be in his room for the weekend but he only found dust flying around. There was no bed sheet on the mattress, the work desk was empty, and the cupboard had nothing in it. Pete was not only not in this room but the room looked like it had been unoccupied for some time.

Panic enveloped him. Where was he?

He left the room to check the kitchen. One cup of coffee, one cutlery, one plate, one bowl, all add up to one. Even though there were more utensils in the kitchen, it was very visible that only one cutlery was often used.

Vegas scratched his hair in frustration. They should be married by now. Pete should have moved in with him as soon as they married even though he hated the idea so much at the time.

Then he suddenly recalled something that happened the day after he got married.

He rushed down to the first floor. He renovated most of the floor into a garage but still left some space to make a small room. He intended to use the room for a butler, but his stupid and evil-self used it for something else.

Vegas opened the door to the butler room. Just like he intended the room to be, the room size was just enough for one single bed and a small wardrobe. Few unopened boxes stacked at the edge of the room where some of the same tableware Vegas used and some drawing tools were placed. A frame containing photo of small child and a woman was displayed in the slightly open window frame.

Pete didn't sleep in the second floor bedroom, but Vegas ordered him to sleep in this butler room.

It was because of his father. After years of abuse, Vegas thought his father was finally doing something good for him by marrying him off to someone from a prestigious family.

The Phongsakorn Family.

A family that had wealth comparable to his family. Marrying a member of the Phongsakorn family would give him more power to seize the company from Kinn's hand, who was the legal heir of his family.

But his father had lied to him. It turned out that all this time, his father still wanted to be the heir of the company and his marriage was his way to eliminate Vegas from competition.

He was not married to the first son of the Phongsakorn family, but to the second son who was the illegitimate child of the family's leader. This second son was not even considered in the family, had no position in the company, and was not named among the family's heirs.
