It started after he received a rare message from Porsche. His husband's butler apparently told him that he would not pick Pete up from his office for a while because he had a meeting outside of work hours. There was nothing strange about that.

Pete kept coming home late. He was chosen as the leader of a new project and had to meet with some experts. Vegas offered to pick him up or let Nop pick him up, but Pete refused on the grounds that Vegas already had his own busy schedule. There was nothing strange about that either.

But a white sedan that he accidentally saw when he had just arrived home was strange. All this time he thought Pete was going home by taxi, but it turned out he was being driven by a colleague who had just been transferred to his office.

He didn't like that colleague already.

He really wanted to know why Pete decided to reject his offer but for some reason, he felt he had no right to ask Pete. Vegas was determined to make their marriage work, but he still wasn't sure about Pete.

Pete let him sleep in the same bed as him every night and they already talked casually with each other. But other than that, their relationship didn't progress much. Pete still hadn't told him about his grandfather's illness and hadn't worn their wedding ring yet.

And it bothered him so much.

Still in a bad mood, Vegas hugged the pillow with a frown as he tilted his body so he could see Pete who was lying next to him in the bed but seemed busy with his cellphone.

"You know..." he trailed his voice, hoping to get Pete's attention but the man remained focused on his phone, "You're even busier than a CEO."

"The CEO is not busy because his employees do everything." Pete mumbled his response, "You can turn off the lights and go to sleep."

"Yeah, but I wanted to talk to you." Vegas said while adjusting his pillow to a more comfortable position.

"What is it?" Pete glanced at him a bit before turning back to his phone again.

"Do people in your company know that you are married?" Vegas asked directly.

"Huh?" Pete was surprised by the question, "Hmmm..." that was not an answer.

"Do they know?" Vegas repeated.

"Hmmm... No..." He replied hesitantly.

Vegas already suspected the answer but even then, he still felt a little bit annoyed, "And why is that?" he tried to not raise his voice.

"Nobody asked." Pete answered bluntly.

"But you told Tay before." Vegas shot back.

"Because Tay asked me." Pete let out a tired sigh then put his cell phone away.

"So, if no one asks you, you'll act like a single person?"

"I don't just go around and announce our marriage, Vegas." Pete answered nonchalantly.

"Try going to my company and saying your name." Vegas challenged, "You'll see what happens."

Pete looked at him, "What's the difference?" he said with some exasperation, "Whether my coworkers know my status or not, it doesn't change anything. Why does it matter?"

Vegas frowned even more. That hurt him a little, "It matters." He replied, "Announcing marriage won't give you a free ride home." He continued bitterly.

"What?" Pete finally looked at him, "Why are you suddenly talking about ride home?"

"Nothing, it's just strange that you suddenly get a lift home when you've never had one before."
