He was out of town, he was nowhere near home. He thought that this time, no one would suspect him of being the perpetrator but it turned out not to be the case.

"What's your relationship with your father?"

One of Vegas' eyebrows rose as he looked at the detective in front of him. He was the same detective who annoyed him earlier. He called himself Nick even though Vegas tried hard not to call him Dick.

"Nothing unusual, detective." He answered.

Nick hummed, "I heard you left to live by yourself from you were 15."

Vegas shrugged, "So?"

"Did you fight with your father a lot?"

"Objection, detective. The question has nothing to do with the case." His lawyer who sat beside him interrupted, "The question should be around my client capacity as the house's owner."

"The victim is his father." Nick looked bored, "Which meant that his father murdered in his home."

"Are you implying that my client killed his own father?"

Nick smirked, "I didn't say that but thanks for pointed it out."

Vegas sighed as he shook his head, "Get out."

"Pardon me, Khun Vegas?"

"I said, you're fired." Vegas repeated as he turned to his lawyer. His finger pointed at the door, "Get out."

His lawyer's face changed. He looked like he wanted to argue with her but he decided to grab his bag and stand up before giving a nasty glance at the grinning detective and leaving the interrogation room.

"I like talking to you without your lawyer, Khun Vegas." Nick said to him once they were alone in the room, "I knew you were smart enough to defend yourself."

"I know you're also smart enough not to make false accusations, detective." Vegas grinned back.

"Of course, Khun. I wouldn't dare," answered Nick indifferently, raising both hands. His movements were actually like mocking him, "I hope you can answer my previous question."

"Detective, are you close to your father?" Vegas folded his arms and made himself comfortable in his chair.

Nick looked at him for a moment, "No, khun. I often argue with my father."

"Same with me, detective. But unlike other people, I have the privilege of living on my own." Vegas replied, "Does that answer your curiosity?"

"Loud and clear, Khun." Nick folded his arms on the table while looking at Vegas, "Does that mean what happened with your father in your office a few days ago was something normal too? I looked at the CCTV and can I say it wasn't a normal fight between father and son— we have a court order to take your office CCTV before you question our integrity once again."

"You really move fast, detective. I hope you actually try to find the culprit instead of trying to justify your current actions." Vegas said displeased.

He could only think of one reason why the police would be looking at the feed in his office, they were looking for Porsche's motive for killing his father. Porsche was his butler and having only met his father once, there really was no reason for him to kill his father. But looking at the detective, trying to corner him with targeted questions, it seemed like he thought that Vegas instead ordered Porsche to kill his father.

"It's for the case, khun, I assure you." Nick smirked then put his tablet on the table, "Let's watch the feed together, shall we? You shouldn't mind if you have nothing to hide from us."
