"You really want to step on my face."

Kinn's expression didn't change, his bored eyes looked straight into Vegas' eyes. The gray suit he wore was in sharp contrast to the orange prison clothes worn by Vegas.

"What do you want?" Vegas asked again, less patient. As the stoic man still didn't say a word to him, Vegas stood up abruptly from his seat, ready to call the warden to take him back to his cell.

"Tell Pete to stop investigating." Kinn finally said something.

Vegas glared sharply at him, "This is none of your concern."

Kinn didn't budge, "This is for your and Pete's safety."

Vegas snorted, sitting back in his chair once more, "Why, cousin?" he asked in a mocking tone, "Afraid that someone close to you will be caught red-handed?"

Kinn was silent for a moment, "You and Pete are facing a war you can't possibly win." He muttered, "and it'll get worse if you keep prying."

Vegas was unamused, "Why don't you use the words more clearly." He sneered, "Why not just send me fuck off so you and your beloved father can take control of the company? I'm telling you, I'm already in this position, I'm not afraid of anything."

"How about Pete?" Kinn asked back, "You're pretty safe here but he's out there, running here and there for you. Aren't you afraid of him?"

Vegas looked at Kinn suspiciously, "Since when do you care about Pete so much?"

"You may not realize it, but Pete is too good for you." Kinn replied, "He already ruined his life by marrying you and I won't let him lose his life trying to save someone like you."

Vegas clenched his fists. He wanted to be angry at Kinn but he knew Kinn was telling the truth.

Kinn stood up from his seat, "You have no idea what's going on. Accept your punishment and let Pete get on with his life." He said before turning his body and walking towards the door.

"What if I don't stop snooping?" his question stopped Kinn in his tracks, "Will your people kill me?"

Kinn only glanced at him briefly, "We're all going to hell, cousin. Don't go there too fast." He replied as he opened the door, "And it's not my people you should be worried about."

The door closed.

Dreaming about Kinn honestly annoyed him.

He had barely dreamed about his past since he had slept in Pete's room. Moreover, he usually dreamed of his father's accident but rarely dreamed of anything else. That was why he was quite surprised when he woke up with a clear memory of his last conversation with Kinn in his past.

In recent days, Kinn's name—even though he didn't really want to— was included in his conversations at work and at home. Even now, he was doing something he would never have thought of before and was unfortunately, related to Kinn.

"Hmm... I think the navy one is the best." Macau commented.

"How about this one? The granite color looks good on you, hiaa." Chay added.

"Don't just look at the color, this one has three buttons. It's in style." Pete chimed in while showing the white coat in his hand.

Porsche sighed loudly, "Stop giving me another suit to wear. I'm tired of trying them on!!" he whined, "If I knew it would be like this, I might as well just borrow Phi Nop's suit!"
