"I didn't."
Nick looked at him unimpressed, his fingers tapping the table repeatedly creating an annoying noise in his brain, "I haven't asked you anything, Khun Vegas."
Vegas smiled eerily at him, "I know what you're going to ask me, detective." He replied, "I didn't."
"Detective, my client is completely confused by the interrogation order." Arm started to speak, "You know today is his father's funeral ceremony."
"We gave you time to finish the ceremony." Nick spat.
"Over what?"
"How am I ever going to get anything if you keep bothering us." Nick looked at Arm in annoyance before turning to him, "Khun Vegas, may I know the reason you and your husband turned off your phone signal last weekend?"
Vegas glanced at Arm, silently asking his decision, and when Arm nodded slightly he finally answered, "We just need some time alone. You could say this is our honeymoon."
Nick raised an eyebrow, "Your wedding was over a year ago."
"But we haven't had our honeymoon yet." Vegas shrugged, "We're busy, detective and the last thing we want to do right then is answering the phone from the office."
"Or you just don't want to answer this call." Nick shows him his father's phone logs. His father called him repeatedly on Saturday and Sunday nights.
Vegas just shrugged again. He knew about his father's repeated call once he turned on his phone signal. So, what if his father called him?
"That doesn't prove anything, Detective." Arm voiced his opinion.
Nick threw another documents on the table. At glance, Vegas saw Porche's profile written on the paper.
"Porsche said he first saw your father at work." Nick continued, "Did Porsche see the fight you had with your father?"
"No, Porsche only saw him after my father stormed off the meeting room."
"You hired Porsche as your husband's butler a few months ago, a man who had never had training as a butler and worked in a jewelry store before." Nick said, "Correct me if I'm wrong, khun Vegas, but for someone from a good family like you there's usually a tough test to become a butler? Why did you suddenly hire a butler out of nowhere?"
"I just fired my butler at that time. When we visited the jewelry store, he seemed quite good as a butler." Vegas replied indifferently, "I just need someone to look after my house, I don't need a highly qualified butler to do it."
"A man who is in feud with his uncle to take over custody of his brother?"
"I don't think there's any harm in helping him, detective." Vegas answered, "I also have a younger brother and I will do anything if my drunk and gambling uncle tries to take custody of him."
Nick looked at him for a moment, "So he owes you something."
"He doesn't owe me anything."
"Have you ever talked about your father with him, Khun?"
Vegas snorted, "What are you implying, detective?"
"I heard people's impressions of you, Khun Vegas. Porcshe was no one but suddenly you paid off his debts and made the prosecutor sign his brother's custodial papers and give his uncle an ultimatum not to come near their family again. You even gave him the same lawyer as yourself. Isn't that strange?" Nick answered, "Or your relationship goes beyond what we know."
Vegas was ready to hit him if only Arm didn't slam his hand on the table first, "Objection. All your questions to my client are baseless. I think we're all done here."
