Vegas got lost again.
He drove here and there, like he was just going round and round in the same place. He didn't know how many curse words he muttered as he complained about his fate of always having to find his way to the old man's house when the sun had already set.
At some point, he finally gave up. He stopped his car at the nearest CCTV, got out of the car, and shouted at the CCTV, asking Tin to pick him up. He could have called him, but he felt like shouting to the person ogling the CCTV would be quicker. They would probably be busy laughing at him after all, they would have seen him driving in circles.
He didn't go back to his car, instead he sat on the hood, breathing in the cool, breezy air while he had time. Not long, Tin came with his buggy car. His face wasn't amused this time.
"Khun Vegas, we didn't hear about your visit. I heard it—sorry for your loss, khun." Tin said as he walked over to him.
"You told me I should visit more often." Vegas answered lightly.
"You both know that's not what I meant." Tin chuckled while shaking his head, "If you want to meet khun, he's not available, I think..."
"He went somewhere?"
"No, but his health worsened this morning." Tin answered, "He went for a morning walk as usual and came back with a red face and high blood pressure. He is resting now. Is there anything important you want to ask him?"
Vegas frowned. He knew the old man's health would worsen but not this quickly, "Very important. Is he really unable to have guests?"
Tin thought for a moment, "I'll ask my father. Meanwhile, I'll take you to Khun's house." He offered, "Do you want to follow with your car or sit next to me and I'll take your car later?"
Vegas raised his eyebrows. What a choice.
He immediately sat in the buggy car without so much words. Tin laughed lightly and sat in the driver's seat and drove him away.
"Remember the way this time. The security team has already described you as hysterical man on the CCTV." Tin snickered as he turned the buggy several times down a small road and suddenly, they arrived at the main mansion, "Pete is not with you?"
"He's resting. Too much has been happening—damn I drove all the way to the other side." He cursed as he tried to memorize the way. He really hated this mansion.
"I give you tips to find the right path." Tin pointed to his right side, "You see that? That's Pete's old house." Vegas nodded as his eyes followed Tin's fingertips. "There is a small path next to the house, just enough for a wheelchair to pass. Just follow the small path, you will arrive at Khun's house."
Vegas heard the explanation with great curiosity. His eyes followed closely the fairly large road that Tin took along the small path from Pete's house. The small path was really the way to the old man's house.
"Was Pete's old house actually his mother's house before?" Vegas asked. That the old man had a straight path to his mother's house seemed a bit suspicious.
"Yeah, but that road was made after Pete moved into the house." Tin answered, "Pete kind of closed himself off after he moved here. He barely left the house. Khun was worried so he checked on him from time to time. The path was not created intentionally but rather a path that formed itself because Khun walked the same path over and over again. We're here!" Tin turned off the buggy car and got out with a small hop.
"Did Pete know?" Vegas followed, "About the path and his grandpa was looking after him?"
"I don't know but khun always did it secretly though. He always stood by the window, just check on him for a minute or so." Tin shrugged, "He adores Pete so much, it's not a surprise."
