Maybe it ended years ago,
our love seeped out and into the rain.
Washed away by typhoon season,
burned away by summertime fires.
No longer branded in my skin,
what once was tattooed marks of my affection
now no longer brandish decipherable connection
Our love no longer captured by ink
Now rotted now wasting away in our hearts.
We've said goodbyes in silent car rides,
we're not aware of it but we're already on opposite sides of the room.
Talking to other people,
thinking about our growing distance,
Our fleeting preformance
Our final applause.
I've grown tired of our dances,
I've grown tired of our arguments,
I'm slowly burning up in our orbit,
I'm detached from your spiritual plane.
Theres a cerulean sea between us,
one that stretches further than the eye can see.
It pulls and it fros
like theres a million places it could be.
Yet it's still here between us,
stuck in a lonely standstill,
as I will not budge,
and I know you will not give up,
because we are cut from the same cloth
after all we are born from the same flock.
