I stand at the bottom with trepidation.
endless staircase where will you take me?
to the moon and back around the sun?
to the city then descend upon the sea?
the endless staircase is only so vague.
Endless staircase where will you take me?
Take me to the moon in the rain,
and the sun in the clouds.
Take me to dive into the sea and sink into the ground.
The endless staircase is mighty in magnificence.
Endless staircase take me to where sky meets stars.
Take me to the depths of your city,
and the depths of your core.
The endless staircase offers me its spiralling steps,
I walk up it a hesitant smile on my face.
Endless staircase how far away is the top tucked away in the heavens?
Because my feet are weak and my lungs burn,
and I'm exhausted and I'm starting to cry.
The endless staircase only keeps giving,
and I only keep taking.
I float on with numbing limbs,
my heart a swelling ache
stuck in an endless loop.
Stuck in the chase of the hurry to the end.
the endless staircase is not comforting in its silence.
Tear ducts wept dry I have no fear left to give you.
let us drink in solitude and drown away the fear of hate.
witnessing the pain of whom I had once maimed.
Cleansing our souls we continue up the never-ending spiral of steps of darkness and demise.
Endless staircase kisses wind on my face.
Reflecting and hurt, a lesson drawn in chalk.
Agonizing as I grind my teeth to dust
endless staircase lose me in the hurry of geting to the top,
absentmindedly hurting those I love.
