Y/n's POV:

First lesson began and Y/n was on her way, giggling between Harry and Hermione. Draco walked up behind her and Y/n's sharp senses heard his footsteps from behind a few feet away, instantly turning to see him walking over.  He slapped the books out of her hand, making them drop and slam on the concrete floor.
" It's worse that a Fae is protecting me, but a Gryffindor fae? Father should just kill you on the spot, this is absolutely pathetic," He scoffed, rolling his eyes.

Y/n picked up the books with a heavy sigh, ignoring her friends snapping at him for doing and saying such a thing. Harry was the most angry. He stepped forward, his dark brown eyes glaring daggers at his grey ones, " Leave her alone, Malfoy, she's already going through a lot with your sadistic prick of a Father," Y/n's eyes widened in surprise at his language, watching how Draco's smirk dropped instantly from the insult towards Lucius.

Y/n placed her hand on Harry's chest, gently pushing him back to stop him from getting more mad, because if he did, he would definitely throw a punch at Draco. She sent him a small nod,
" It's alright, Harry, he's just trying to get under your skin," Y/n spoke softly, earning a nod of agreement from Hermione and Ron.

Pansy laughed behind Draco, " It seems like she's already gotten a new boyfriend, a specky twat at that," Y/n felt her blood boil from anger. The comment made her mind clear from rage. She was alright when people insulted her, called her names, made fun off her because she was used to it. But when somebody insults her friends. That's the worst kind of rage you can ever feel.

She glared at Pansy, her kind demeanour fading instantly, making the atmosphere feel tense and intimidating. Y/n had inherited her glare from her Father, and his glare is powerful enough to make the Fae bow downward onto their knees.
Pansy gulped nervously, stepping back a little, shivers running down her spine from the look
Y/n was sending her. It looked as if she was about to kill her any moment.

" Never talk about my friends like that," Y/n glared and she just scoffed, trying to act as if she wasn't intimidated and walked away. Draco added, also affected by the look of daggers within Y/n's gaze, " You'll regret this, fae girl," He then stormed off with his friends to class .

The glare Y/n had conjured faded quite fast as she sent her friends a smile, her kind aura now returning, " Where was we?" The trio were left in shock, their jaws hanging open and their lips parted slightly. They were speechless. Who knew such a kind and loving girl could be so terrifying?
Ron whispered to Hermione and Harry,
" Remember to never get me on her bad side,"
They both nodded in agreement.

Y/n turned to Harry, her gaze showed nothing but concern as her eyebrows scrunched, " Are you alright? Don't listen to them, they don't know what they're saying," Harry nodded, thanking her, not noticing the increase in his heart beat and the redness on his cheeks. Y/n sighed in relief, nodding that her friend was alright before they all headed back to class.

Hermione whispered to Ron,
" You saw how Harry reacted to her too, right?"
She asked rather confused and shocked, making sure only her and Ron could hear the conversation.
Ron nodded, " Yeah, and I think I know what's happening," Hermione nodded, " Me too,"

Y/n walked into class and sat down, looking around to see the students still whispering about her. Swallowing the lump that formed in her throat, she payed her attention to her first teacher. Professor Snape. Head of Slytherin and the teacher of potions. This class would be easy for her since Fae are raised in the forest with no supplies, so they have to make stuff out of materials within nature.

" Turn to page 23," Snape ordered, his voice slow and deep. Y/n looked at the book in front of her and turned to that exact page. She smiled at the lesson, knowing she was going to enjoy learning about how to make this potion.
The potion that reveals a person's happiest memory.

Y/n easily made the potion like it was baby work, the liquid in the cauldron turning a deep pink colour as it released smoke. Snape walked over, humming whilst staring it, " Not bad, Miss L/n,
you seem to be the only one getting this right," He commented, glancing at all the other students who were struggling, looking disappointed in all of them for not getting a basic spell.

The smoke from Y/n's cauldron began to grow and form a shape, which caught everyone's attention. The sound of her laughing as a child echoed within the smoke as it showed her parents. The King and Queen of the Fae.
They wore crowns of silver and gold and their eyes were the brightest of any Fae there was.
Y/n smiled with pure happiness at the memory, watching as her younger self chased them in a field of flowers. She remembered that happiness all to well, and she wishes she could experience such a feeling again.

The memory soon vanished, leaving Y/n back to reality and how she is now, making her smile fade. She forgot that she was in a room full of students since that memory brought so much nostalgia it was painful. Hermione placed a hand on her shoulder, sending her a small smile of comfort before focusing back on her task.

Y/n missed her parents so much it hurts. It feels as if her heart had shattered completely.

" Well done, Y/n, 10 points for Gryffindor,"
Snape stated before going back to his other students.
