Chapter 27

Y/n's POV:

Her body felt weak. To weak. It felt like the life was being drained from her body every single hour that passed. Riaz stayed with her instead of going to lessons. He didn't give a shit about this place. All he cares about was her and her health.
He gripped her hand gently but tightly, trying to ignore the burning in his throat from trying not to cry from her state,
" Please stay a little longer, Y/n, I know you can do it," He pleaded through tears.

Y/n's eyes were closed from sleeping, and it worried him greatly when she's asleep. He always made sure she was breathing just in case she hasn't passed away. She slowly opened her eyes from his voice, sending him a weak smile,
" I won't give up that easily, " She responded, her words were more like a breath.

Riaz chuckled lowly, her words only making it harder for him not to cry. The door was quickly opened and Draco barged in. He opened the necklace and the blue light immediately escaped and hit Y/n in the chest. She gasped at the impact, the bright light surrounding her and most of the room as it sunk back into her chest.
Her E/C coloured eyes became a brighter colour as she felt the life come back into her body, the life source defeating the illness that captured her body and made the process a lot harder.

Riaz and Draco had to close their eyes from how bright the light source was when it came into contact with Y/n. She felt much more alive than she did before she got ready for the process. Her body finally felt complete again. The light soon faded to see Y/n sat up on the couch, looking a lot better, but still had eye bags beneath her eyes.

Draco let out a loud sob as he ran over, squeezing her into death-trapping hug. Y/n just sobbed in happiness in his arms, hugging him tightly as he shedded tears into the crook of her neck. Draco pulled away, pulling her into a small kiss before letting Riaz hug her. She smiled at him,
" I told you I'll make it,"
He rolled his eyes, wiping his tears whilst laughing and hugged her, but not as tightly as Draco did.

When she pulled away, she went back over to Draco and patted him on the bed she slept on. He hesitated before lying down on the bed, letting her snuggle against him tiredly and using his chest as a pillow. He kissed her forehead, wrapping his arm around her waist. Whilst lying her head on his chest, Y/n grabbed his other hand and placed the ring in his hand,
" You promised, and you returned. I love you, so much," She spoke softly, her voice filled with sincerity.

Draco couldn't feel more happier in the moment.
He grabbed her hand gently, placing the ring on her middle finger, " Keep it. It'll be a reminder to you that I'll always love you, even through the hard times," Y/n couldn't help but smile bashfully, pulling him into a deep kiss before resting her head back onto his chest.
Despite feeling better, she was exhausted. The  eye bags under her eyes told him just that. Draco was exclaimed, " Go to sleep, you need it,"
Y/n fell asleep almost immediately.

" We have word back from Riaz, the Princess has survived the process of changing into the true heir and has also taken back her life source,"
The Fae guard reported to the King and Queen, who were both happy and relieved by the news.
Nyx felt less anxious for her daughter's safety, knowing for certain that she can now protect herself from any threats heading her way.

The King nodded, a satisfied, proud smirk on his face, " Very well. Tell Riaz the coronation will begin in two weeks. She will be 18 in a week's time. Tell the Kingdom that all Fae are invited,"
The guard nodded and left the throne room to obey the demands of his King.
Nyx hugged her husband, happy tears forming in her eyes,
" She's alright, she's alright," She began shakily, relieved. For the past few months she has been stressing over the safety of her daughter. Her brain hasn't stopped overthinking ever since. Now she can finally rest.

Her husband smiled and nodded, placing his hand on her swollen stomach, " I wonder what
Y/n will think with a new brother on the way, huh?" He chuckled, making Nyx chuckle in excitement. She was 8 months pregnant and the baby was coming very soon. She could feel it.
Fae babies are born a month earlier than humans because they develop a lot faster in the womb.
