Y/n's POVS:

" How many times do I have to tell you guys?"
Y/n asked with a deep sigh escaping her lips. The twins, Fred and George, have been asking her all week if she wanted to start playing Quiditch.
They say it's a big advantage for Gryffindor because of her heightened senses from being Fae.
Every time she refused. But they don't quit.

George exclaimed, pleading, " Imagine winning though! Your senses are like Spider-Man. You can sense things coming your way like you have eyes at the back of your head, that'll be great when you catch the ball!" Fred nodded in agreement. He had a point.

Hermione commented from across the table from Y/n, nodding with a small smile, " I agree. You'd be a big advantage to Gryffindor. Quiditch is everything to the school and the house, " Y/n stayed silent, as if thinking about it more clearly.
It was her last year in Hogwarts, so she may as well give it a try, besides she knew that the twins won't stop pestering her until she starts.

" Fine! But don't be mad if I make a mistake,"
Y/n groaned in annoyance, resting her head against her hand. The twins cheered happily, running over and squeezing her in a tight hug, both on each side, " You'll never regret this Y/n!"
They yelled in unison before running off cheerfully out of the great hall. Y/n couldn't help but chuckle at how excited they were.

" I'd thought they'd never leave," Riaz rolled his eyes, biting into a piece of his chicken leg, " How have you managed to keep your sanity in this place? I'll never know," He joked, making Y/n's smile curve up even more as she laughed a little.
Harry and Ron were currently in the library, trying to find a book about something, and Hermione had just left to talk to Luna on the RavenClaw table.

" Y/n I've been meaning to tell you something,"
Riaz broke the silence between them both, the visible frown on his face gaining her attention.
Y/n gulped nervously wondering what was troubling him and nodded for him to continue.

" You don't have romantic feelings towards Harry, do you?" He asked, his eyes never leaving her features, trying to analyse everything about her to learn watch she's thinking. He has known her since they were small children, he could read her like a book and knows her better than anyone.
Y/n stayed silent, biting her lip gently, which she does when she's nervous and when someone is clearly right. Riaz picked up on this pretty quickly,
" I don't get it, just break up with him, sure he's a nice lad, but there's plenty of opportunities for him," Riaz shrugged, grabbing another chicken wing and placing it on his plate.

" You don't understand. I feel bad and guilty. He treats me so right and it's clear that he truly loves me, it's just that I don't return the feeling. I just don't want to break his heart," Y/n confessed, tears forming in her eyes as she placed her face in her hands.

Riaz ruffled her hair, " No need to get so emotional, I guess you have always been like that. I think you'll break his heart even more if you let him continue to think you love him. It'll be more of an emotional impact when you do tell him,"
He advised, moving his hair backwards from the drama of it all. Y/n wiped her tears with her sleeve, nodding in understanding.

" Besides, in a few months time that won't be the thing you're worrying about. It'll be your coronation soon, you're almost 18," Riaz crossed his arms across his chest, his face turning a little more serious. Y/n had completely forgot about that.

Every heir to the throne has a coronation day when they turn 18. The only concern was their elemental power. Since the crown increases its value and power, it begins to affect the ability a few weeks before it starts. Making the ability the fae possess uncontrollable. So, Y/n will be having issues controlling water around her for a few weeks, and that wasn't great.

Riaz chuckled lowly, smirking slightly,
" Relax, it's still a few months away yet, no need to worry right now," He reassured, in which she thanked him for.

//////————//////

It was Quiditch practice and she was currently standing on the pitch with the team. Harry was the seeker, so he explained how the game worked to her more clearly. Y/n nodded and got on her broom and flying upwards to where the hoops were.

The Quaffle was zooming around, being passed by other players and Y/n sensed it behind her. She caught it swiftly and steadily before throwing it with intense speed and strength, scoring perfectly. The twins and team cheered, " Well done Y/n!"
This wasn't as bad as she thought it would be.
That day, she officially signed herself up to be apart of the team.
