"Don't come near me, jock. You literally ruined my fit and I was late today because of you!" I yelled, causing Heeseung to chuckle, amused.
"It's not funny!" I sulked, and Heeseung draped an arm around my shoulder as we walked back home from the Uni. Heeseung was back on the winning streak, and stupid me decided to add a reward system to prove our worth. Guess who lost.
"Aww, jakey, it's just 10 games, anybody can beat that," I rolled my eyes while he nudged my shoulder.
"I can't believe I owe you a milkshake, ugh, what was I thinking?" I mumbled to myself and Heeseung laughed.
He tipped my chin with his finger, making me meet his lazy gaze as he replied, "Probably too obsessed with me to even think straight," he whispered.
My face heated up instantly, and Heeseung ran away, laughing while entering the cafe. Blinking away the embarrassment and fluster, I bit my lip and stepped into the cafe too.
This has been going on way too long often. He flirts with me, I react, but we're friends. That's right. Just friends.
Maybe this is how I always acted with Jungwon and Sunoo. Yeah, this was normal. Totally. I'm not having a racing heart or uneven breaths or anything, mhm, yes.
"So what do you want?" I questioned while Heeseung checked the menu.
"Vanilla." He pointed to the picture on the screen and I chuckled.
"Sure, lil king, now go find a seat." He gave me a kiss, which I totally didn't react to, and I went over to order his drink. Sunoo wasn't on shift that day, but someone I recognised still caught my eye.
"Jungwon?"
The said latter snapped his head to face me, and his eyes widened. "Hyung? What are you doing here?"
"I was with Heeseung...I owe him a milkshake cause I lose 10 games of nerf war with him...why are you here?"
He suddenly fidgeted with the ends of his sleeve hoodie, and looked away. I took a step closer, maintaining my gaze on the sheepish little cat.
"Are you...with someone?"
Jungwon shook his head.
"Won-ah."
"OKAY FINE!" He exclaimed, "Yes! I am. Um, see-Jay hyung-"
"JAY?!" I shrieked, spinning my head around to check where this person was, and sure enough, by the window seat, was a causal looking Jongseong, his attire all neat and good looking.
He hadn't seem to notice my screeching, so I use this chance to turn back to Jungwon. "Did you go crazy?"
Jungwon ran a hand through his hair. "He-ok, he somehow managed to convince me to come here. I told him that this was NOT a date, and he just dragged me here."
I made a confused goofy face and he made a confused pout and shrugged.
"So...then what happened?" I asked.
"We chatted...and it's been a suffocating 10 minutes-please save me," he clung onto my arm and I glanced over my shoulder. Jay had his legs crossed one over another, leaned back with perfectly styled hair and was gazing out the window, probably daydreaming. A few girls and guys around him kept whispering and peeking glances his way. Some were outwardly staring and swooning. I smirked.
"Save you from that beauty? You should be lucky he's even sitting with you." Jungwon cried my name as I walked off, wishing him luck.
"Hey, sorry, I met Jungwon just now," I explained as I sat down in front of Heeseung, who sipped his vanilla milkshake deliciously.
I eyed the drink jealously, because damn, it looked good. His gaze met mine and a casual smirk appeared on his lips.
"You want some?" Heeseung asked, and I flushed embarrassingly.
"No, no. It's your drink, I shouldn't take anything I give back," I shook my head, declining his offer.
"But it's your money! Here, have some!" He slid the glass towards me, and I hesistanly took a sip. It was good, and it really cooled me from the warm weather, but I pushed it back.
"So, about Friday," I changed the topic, and Heeseung clicked his tongue.
"Okay, so, I know you might not like it, but..it's actually a party that one of my classmates invited us to," he sheepishly mumbled, puckering his lips when I gaped.
"You mean like, at an apartment?" My jaw dropped even more when Heeseung nodded.
"If you don't want to go, it's fine! I was just asking anyway." He looked genuinely disappointed, and I couldn't help but sigh. Attending this party would only cause more trouble in my life...but what could one drink do?
"I'll get back to you-I need to ask my friends first," I answered, and Heeseung nodded eagerly.
We finished up there and headed home together.
