Jake's POV

It had been two weeks since I've told Heeseung about my family troubles, and he hadn't raised up the topic ever since.

Sometimes, I kind of wished I would slap myself hard to spit out the truth, but no amount of strength could erase the guilt building up inside of me.

We had been hanging out longer, feeling more comfortable, up till the point where I can just cuddle up in his arms and he wouldn't mind.

I didn't want this to end.

As I glanced up from his soft and warm grip around my arms, a soft pang in my chest echoed in my body seeing Heeseung's peaceful slumber. His closed bambi eyes made him even more prettier while he slept, and the small pout of his lips were just adorable.

Sighing, I slipped out of his hold slowly, then lying his down on the sofa with caution so I didn't wake him up. He snuggled into the cushions, getting into a comfortable position before stilling into a deep sleep.

"Oh Heeseung..." I whispered, squatting to his eye level, pushing away a strand of hair that had fallen over his face, "I'm sorry if I'll ever hurt you in the future. You don't deserve me, go find someone else who can stay and keep a promise yeah?"

I stared down longingly while he shifted. "I like you so much, Lee Heeseung. I hope you'll know that...someday," I mumbled while stroking his soft, black strands, and he let out a low hum of unconsciousness.

Admiring him once more, I finally stood up after a few seconds, and strode over to the door. Being careful with it, I slowly turned the knob and pulled on it, opening the door.

With one last glance, I stepped out into the cool hallway, and slumped against the wooden frame with mental exhaustion.

I didn't forget to text Heeseung I had left early to meet my friends-which was true by the way-and started walking towards the lift scrolling through my messages.

One rose to the top in the next second, and my heart stooped low upon seeing the sender's name.

Grandfather Yun.

I clicked on the chat with a shaky thumb, tossed the phone to my other hand to wipe my sweaty palm on my pants, before taking back the phone with my right hand.

My dearest grandson, I know I haven't been in touch but I am in desperate need of you. The company is going to fall if you don't take over it soon, unless you have certain concerns you want to address, but otherwise, please come back to Brisbane. We need your support.

That's all the text said. No 'how are you' or 'hope you're well.' Everything was straight to the point. That was my grandfather. Believe me, I loved him, but he was a little bit rushed sometimes.

No matter how much times I read it, there wasn't a way out, I needed to get back. Even when Grandfather asked for any concern, what he wants is no concern. I couldn't tell him what I wanted.

I raked a hand in my hair, disheveling it as I strode fast to a familiar place. I pushed open the door in a hurry, the fast sound of the bells jingling as I went. I spotted two familiar figures near the counter, and hurriedly plopped myself on the high seat.

"Oh hey! Everything okay? You look a little pale," Jungwon asked, a thoughtful hint in his voice.

I shook my head. "My grandfather texted me. And when he does that, you know it's serious business..."

"What?! So you're actually leaving?" Sunoo butted in and stopped wiping the mug dry, his mouth hung open and his eyes wide while he asked the conclusion.
