"I. Am. So. Screwed."
Jungwon shifted his gaze from behind his book to me, scrunching his eyebrows together. I stared back at him helplessly, while Sunoo just tsked, not looking up from his book.
We were at the library in the University, studying for our upcoming exams. Not finals, but the exam before that, technically pre-finals but who cares I'm too in trouble with something else to even think about it.
Sunoo, as sassy as ever, with his white hoodie that hung loose around his body and pants, blonde hair parted as he read his textbook, didn't even look up while he explained, "Jake hyung has feelings for Heeseung hyung but can't tell him and now he feels bad because he's leaving soon and there's something else I don't know about but it's currently stressing our hubby out."
Jungwon blinked once after hearing everything, turned to Sunoo who blinked back, and then turned back to face me with a look that said, 'what the fuck?'
"I can't just tell him!" I whined, "first off, it'll be embarrassing. And secondly, I don't want to break his heart or anything when I say I'm going to leave literally in 4 months."
Jungwon sighed. "Hyung, he's not going to judge! I think Heeseung hyung could really be the one; he won't be like Han or any of your exes! Don't you think so?" He indirectly asked Sunoo who nodded in approval, still looking at his book, and I scrunched up my nose.
"He is..he's perfect. But, the thing is, I'm not," I glanced away, playing with my fingers, "he could easily be with someone else. Who knows when I'll be back? What if he gets sick of LDR? I don't want him to be miserable just because I can't be there for him."
When I looked up, Sunoo had his book down, closed shut, as the both of them stared at me in shock.
Then, each of them took one of my hands, gazing seriously at me."Jake hyung," Sunoo started, "you're not worthless. Don't believe or even remember what your stupid exes used to say. You're great for who you are."
"And," Jungwon continued, giving my palm a squeeze, "if Heeseung hyung doesn't accept you for that, we'll kick his ass. Just say the word."
His threat broke a smile out of me, and I chuckled softly. The two of them smiled, and then came over so they could give me a group hug.
I embraced their touch, glad I had two best friends I could trust and rely on. How was I going to ever live without them?"Oh shit, I'm late!" Sunoo exclaimed, glancing at the time on his phone, "I need to get to my shift now. Wanna come along?"
"Yeah, I need my coffee," Jungwon groaned, packing up his books as I stood, following Sunoo out the door.
We headed quickly to the Cafe, the door jingling noisily as the three of us entered at once. I was expecting it to be quite crowded considering its peak hour, but the Cafe wasn't filled with that much people.
And because of that, three very specific heads caught my eye.
"Oh-nope. No. Nu-uh, nada. I'm out of here," Jungwon blurted out when Jay spotted us, waving us over. He was about to pull the door open when Sunoo grabbed his shoulders, steering him to their table, and right next to Jay.
The older looked up in amusement. "Hello to you too, won."
Jungwon avoided his eyes as a pink hue tinted his cheeks. "I didn't come for you."
"I didn't say you did...?"
The little cat's cheeks burned harder and he looked away, glaring at a snickering Sunoo while they bickered at the side. I shook my head while taking a seat next to my brother and Heeseung as Jay frowned in amusement, a smirk playing on his lips.
