Capitulo XXXVI - Pez cuerno de flor

I woke up to the sound of a lawn mower outside the house. I stretched my arms and yawn. It feels like my body slept for hours. I opened my eyes gently and I immediately saw Veron sitting in front of me her legs are crossed and crazily grinning while sipping her coffee.

"Why are you smiling like a weirdo?" I asked huskily and was about to get up when I feel a pair of arms hugging my waist. The blanket went down and I saw her face. Her head is comfortably lying on my right arm.

"Sweet nyo ah." Pang-aasar ni Veron. I was about to throw her the sofa pillow next to me when Vee finally woke up and shockingly stares at me. She immediately removed her arms around me and pushed me away in disgust. Her back was about to land on the carpet when I immediately pull her towards me.

"W-what are you doing?!" Sigaw nya sakin atsaka umayos ng upo palayo sa pwesto ko hugging her kness in front of her.

"You're welcome." I just said.

"Ikaw! Bakit ka nakangiti jan!" She shouted at Veron.

"I told you Veevee." Veron laughed at her. I stand up and look at the wall clock on the top of the shelves. Hmm.. I've slept for 8 hours. It's been a while. I stretched my arms again feeling the energy that I regain.

"You guys prepare and we will head out before 10am" I said bago pa iwan yung dalawang nagbabangayan sa living room.

I walked straight to the shower room to prepare. I wore a rugged jeans, tank top and an oversized jacket. Lumabas na din ako ng room and sat on the patio. Napailing nalang ako ng mapansing wala pa yung dalawa. Our maid handed me an orange juice as I read emails through my phone. Seems like I don't have any appointments this week. I sighed in relief.

"Whaddup homie" Veron pat my back and lazily sat beside me. She grabbed the orange juice that I am drinking and started smiling like an idiot in front of me. I just tilt my head, look at the garden in front of us and wore my shades. It's sunny but the temperature is cold.

"So?" Veron pinched me

"If you need to say something. Say it."

"Mukhang masarap tulog natin ah. Mejo fresh ka ngayon." She started. Hindi ko sya pinansin at patuloy ko lang na pinapanuod yung gardener namin while he's trimming the bushes around the fountain.

"Sungit naman neto." Irap nya sakin at diretso ding tumingin sa harapan

"Why don't you just say what you wanna say Veron." I frowned.

"Hmp okay. So what's up with you and Vee?" She asked straight and moved her body to my direction

"What's up with us?" I asked ng nakataas ang isang kilay. What's wrong with this girl.

"I dunno. You tell me." She sipped the orange juice and cross her arms in front of me as if she's trying to squeeze something from me.

"I don't have anything to tell." I answered her and gave her a straight face. Seriously? Is this about what she saw this morning?
