Gyuvin woke up feeling miserable. His body was heavy, his head pounded, and he could barely breathe through his nose. He groaned and rolled over, burying his face in his pillow. The dorm was unusually quiet that morning, but he could hear faint noises from the kitchen, probably the older members preparing breakfast.

He blinked up at the ceiling, realizing how clammy his skin felt. His throat was dry, and his limbs ached like he had run a marathon. With great effort, he reached out for his phone, checking the time. It was way past their usual wake-up time.

"No way... I'm late," he muttered, his voice raspy and barely audible. Gyuvin tried to sit up, but the moment he lifted his head, a sharp wave of dizziness hit him, and he collapsed back onto the bed. His head was spinning, and his stomach churned uncomfortably. He hadn’t felt this sick in a long time.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Jiwoong and Hanbin were chatting while Hao, Taerae, and Yujin set the table. The smell of breakfast filled the air—toast, eggs, and a pot of soup bubbling on the stove. But there was a lingering concern on Jiwoong's face.

"Have any of you seen Gyuvin this morning?" Jiwoong asked, glancing around the room.
"He’s usually the first one out of bed." Taerae noted, frowning as he put down the cutlery. Yujin, who had been sitting by the counter, immediately perked up, his brows furrowing. "I’ll go check on him." As Yujin made his way to Gyuvin's room, he noticed how quiet it was. Normally, Gyuvin’s room would be buzzing with music or some random video playing in the background.

When Yujin knocked on the door and heard no response, he pushed it open cautiously. He found Gyuvin curled up under his blanket, his face pale and beads of sweat dotting his forehead. Yujin's eyes widened in alarm. "Hyung, are you okay?" he asked, rushing to Gyuvin's side."I feel horrible... My head hurts, and I can’t stop sweating." Gyuvin says as he opened his eyes slightly.

Yujin placed a hand on his forehead, immediately feeling the heat radiating from his skin. "You're burning up, Gyuvin hyung! Wait here, I'll get the others."

Without wasting a second, Yujin dashed back to the kitchen, his heart racing. "Hyungs, Gyuvin hyung really sick. He’s burning up!" Yujin exclaimed, causing everyone to stop in their tracks. "Let’s call the company physician. Dr. Lee should be able to come over." Jiwoong, the oldest immediately took charge.
Hanbin nodded, already dialing the doctor’s number, while Matthew and Gunwook grabbed cold towels to help cool Gyuvin down in the meantime. Hao and Ricky hurried to Gyuvin's room, concern etched on their faces.

When they reached his bedside, they saw Gyuvin struggling to keep his eyes open, his breathing shallow and labored.

"Gyuvin-ah, hang in there. The doctor will be here soon." Hao said softly, gently placing a cool towel on Gyuvin’s forehead. Gyuvin could barely muster a nod, his entire body trembling with fever chills. His mind was foggy, and every sound seemed muffled, as if he were underwater.

"My head is hurting..." Gyuvin mumbled weakly as his hand instinctively reached his hand, his eyes half-closed. Ricky pulled the blanket tighter around him, frowning as he looked at the others. "He’s really out of it. Should we try taking him to the hospital?"

"We can't. Hanbin just checked the news—there’s a doctors' strike going on. All the hospitals are closed." Jiwoong replied as he entered the room. Everyone exchanged worried glances, their concern deepening. Gyuvin was too sick for them to handle on their own, and without a hospital, the situation felt even more dire.

A knock on the door signaled Dr. Lee’s arrival. Hanbin quickly let him in, and the physician wasted no time setting up his equipment beside Gyuvin's bed. He checked Gyuvin's temperature, blood pressure, and overall condition.

"His fever is quite high. I’m going to administer a fever-reducing injection to help bring it down. Keep an eye on him and make sure he stays hydrated." Dr. Lee said with a furrowed brow as he prepared the injection.

Everyone watched anxiously as Dr. Lee administered the medicine in his arm. Gyuvin was barely conscious, winced as the needle pierced his skin but Hao was quick to soothe him, rubbing his arm gently.

"You’re doing great, Gyuvin. Just rest now." Hao murmured.

After the injection, Dr. Lee gave the members instructions on how to care for him, emphasizing the importance of monitoring his temperature and ensuring he stayed comfortable.

"I’ll check back in the evening, but for now, just keep him cool and hydrated. The injection should help, but if his fever doesn’t break by tonight, let me know immediately." Dr. Lee said as he packed his things.
"Thank you, Dr. Lee. We’ll make sure he’s taken care." Jiwoong says, nodded gratefully.

Once Dr. Lee left, the members returned to Gyuvin's side, each of them contributing to his care. Taerae took it upon himself to wipe Gyuvin’s forehead with cool towels, while Hanbin prepared some porridge in the kitchen.

"Gyuvin, can you try to eat a little?" Hanbin asked softly, sitting by his bedside with a bowl of porridge."I don’t feel like eating...My stomach feels weird." Gyuvin says, blinking slowly as his head was still pounding. "Just a few bites, okay? You need something in your system." Hanbin coaxed, offering a spoonful of porridge.
With great reluctance, Gyuvin took a bite, though it seemed to drain what little energy he had left. He leaned back against the pillows, his eyes fluttering shut.
"Thanks, hyung," he whispered.

Throughout the day, the members took turns staying by Gyuvin’s side. Yujin and Gunwook sat beside him, chatting quietly to keep him company, while Matthew made sure there was always a fresh towel ready to cool him down.

Hao checked his temperature frequently, making sure the fever wasn’t spiking again, while Ricky and Matthew stayed nearby, ready to help if needed.

As the afternoon dragged on, Gyuvin’s fever slowly began to subside, but the exhaustion still weighed heavily on him. He drifted in and out of sleep, occasionally murmuring incoherently. Whenever he stirred, someone was always there—whether it was Hao holding his hand, Yujin adjusting the pillow behind his head, or Jiwoong gently patting his back to soothe him.

By the time evening rolled around, Gyuvin’s fever had dropped significantly, though he still looked pale and worn out. The room was quiet, except for the soft breathing of Gyuvin as he slept. Dr. Lee returned to check on him, and after a thorough examination, he gave a reassuring smile. "His fever has broken. He just needs plenty of rest now." Doctor Lee says, giving them a reassuring smile.

Everyone sighed in relief, grateful that the worst seemed to be over.
Soon Dr. Lee left the dorm."We did it. He’s going to be okay." Jiwoong looked around at the others, a small smile on his face."We all did our part." Hao nodded, leaning back against the wall."He’s tough. He’ll bounce back soon." Hanbin spoke up, his voice quiet but filled with affection.

"Yeah, but let’s make sure he doesn’t push himself too hard when he does." Taerae added, earning a round of nods from the others.

As they all settled into the evening, the dorm filled with a quiet sense of accomplishment and relief. Gyuvin was safe, and they had taken care of him together, like the family they had become.
