Yujin's head throbbed relentlessly, his fevered state making it impossible to sleep. His limbs felt weak, heavy as if weighed down by exhaustion beyond his years. He shifted slightly on the edge of his bed, his back pressed against the cool wall, but even that did little to ease the burning heat radiating from his body. A small whimper escaped his lips, unintentional but filled with discomfort.

On the other side of the wall, Hanbin stirred. He, being light sleeper, had been lying in bed, barely dozing off after a long day, when he heard the faint sound. It was soft, but in the stillness of the night, it was enough to catch his attention. His brows furrowed. That came from Yujin's room. His heart clenched. Yujin wasn't the type to make noises in the middle of the night—he always tried to endure things on his own. Pushing his blanket aside, Hanbin quietly got up, padding across the dorm in his slippers. The others were still asleep, their doors closed, but he ignored them for now, focused only on the youngest.

Gently, he knocked.

"Yujin? Are you okay?" No response.

Concern deepened in his chest. Without hesitation, Hanbin turned the doorknob and stepped inside. What he saw made his breath hitch. Yujin was slumped backward, barely holding himself upright on the edge of the bed. His body swayed, looking dangerously close to collapsing completely. "Yujin!" Hanbin rushed forward, catching him just in time before he could hit the hard end of his bed. Wrapping an arm around him, he pulled him close, feeling the alarming heat radiating from his body.

His skin was burning. "Hey, hey, you're burning up. Why didn't you call someone ?" Hanbin murmured, pressing his palm against Yujin's damp forehead.  Yujin shivered slightly but didn't respond. His breaths were shallow, his face twisted in discomfort. Hanbin's worry deepened. He reached for his phone with one hand, quickly typing in their group chat: "Yujin has a high fever. Come quick." Within moments, footsteps echoed through the hallway. The door creaked open, and a groggy but alert Jiwoong stepped in first, followed closely by Hao and Matthew. "What happened?" Jiwoong asked, rubbing his eyes before immediately sobering up at the sight of Yujin curled up against Hao.

"I heard a noise from my room. When I came in, he was already like this—burning up, too weak to sit up on his own." Hanbin explained, voice tight with concern. Gunwook and Ricky arrived next, followed by Taerae and Gyuvin, all of them instantly becoming wide awake at the sight before them.

"Yujin-ah, can you hear us?" Hao called softly, crouching down beside him. Yujin let out a small, barely audible hum, his eyelids fluttering. His head lolled slightly, but Hao adjusted his hold, keeping him steady.

"He looks really out of it." Gyuvin whispered worriedly.

"We need to get him more comfortable. Hanbin, lay him back down properly." Jiwoong said, taking control of situation.
Hanbin gently eased Yujin down onto the mattress, pulling the blanket up over his trembling frame. Hao quickly went to fetch a cold compress while Matthew dashed to the kitchen for water. Ricky grabbed the thermometer from their medicine cabinet.

Yujin's fevered eyes cracked open slightly, taking in the flurry of activity around him. Even in his dazed state, he could tell they were all fussing over him. It felt... overwhelming.

Too much attention. Too many hands, too many voices.

But he didn't have the energy to protest.

"Here hyung, let's check his temperature," Ricky said, handing Jiwoong the thermometer. Jiwoong carefully placed it under Yujin's tongue, watching the younger boy's flushed face as they waited. Yujin blinked up at them, his usual bright eyes, glazed with fever. After a few seconds, the thermometer beeped. "39.2°C" Jiwoong read aloud, making everyone tense. "That's way too high." Gunwook muttered, frowning.
