It was a chilly winter morning, and Taerae stirred in his bed, his head feeling heavy and his throat sore. He groaned, burying his face in the pillow as a wave of dizziness washed over him. The dorm was unusually quiet, a stark contrast to the usual buzz of activity. He could hear faint voices from the kitchen—his hyungs and dongsaengs were awake.

"Taerae hyung, are you up?" Yujin's cheerful voice echoed through the hall. Taerae tried to muster the energy to respond but only managed a weak groan. The door creaked open, and Yujin peeked in. His expression quickly shifted to concern when he saw Taerae lying motionless under the blanket. "Hyung, are you okay? You're burning up!" Yujin stepped closer and placed a hand on Taerae's forehead. "What's going on?" Hanbin's voice came from the hallway. He appeared in the doorway, followed by Jiwoong and Hao. "Taerae hyung's sick." Yujin said, worry evident in his voice.

Jiwoong crouched beside the bed, his brows furrowed. "Taerae, can you sit up?" Taerae shook his head weakly. "I feel terrible, hyung." He croaked, his voice raspy. Hao placed a comforting hand on Taerae's shoulder. "You need to rest. We'll take care of everything." Hanbin turned to Yujin. "Can you grab a thermometer and some water?" Yujin nodded and dashed out of the room. Hao helped Taerae sit up slightly, propping pillows behind his back. Jiwoong adjusted the blanket around him, tucking him in securely.

A few moments later, Yujin returned with a thermometer and a glass of water. Hanbin took the thermometer and placed it under Taerae's arm."Let's check your temperature. In the meantime, drink some water." Hanbin said gently. Taerae took small sips of water, his hands trembling. Hao steadied the glass for him, his touch calm and reassuring. "38.9 degrees. That's a high fever." Hanbin announced after the thermometer beeped. "I'll get some medicine." Jiwoong offered, already heading toward the kitchen where their first aid supplies were stored.

Matthew and Ricky entered the room, their faces etched with concern. "What happened?" Matthew asked. "Taerae hyung's sick. He has fever."  Yujin explained. Ricky knelt by the bed. "Taerae Hyung, do you need anything? Should we call the company doctor?" Taerae shook his head weakly. "I'll be fine. Just need rest." Matthew frowned. "Rest for sure taerae, but we need to make sure you're comfortable." Jiwoong returned with fever medicine and handed it to Hanbin. "Here, let's get this into him."

Hao helped Taerae sit up again, and Hanbin handed him the medicine. Taerae swallowed it with effort, grimacing at the bitter taste. "I'll make some porridge. He'll need something light to eat later." Hao said, standing up. "I'll help you, hao hyung." Matthew offered, following Hao out of the room. Gyuvin and Gunwook appeared next, their worried expressions matching the rest of the group. "Taerae Hyung, you look awful." Gyuvin said bluntly before earning a glare from Jiwoong. "What he means is, get well soon." Gunwook said, nudging Gyuvin.Taerae managed a faint smile. "Thanks, guys."

"We should rotate shifts to check on him. That way, he's never alone." Jiwoong suggested. "Good idea,. I'll take the first shift." Hanbin agreed. "I'll take second shift." Hao said from the kitchen. "Gunwook and I will handle the third." Ricky and Gunwook volunteered.

Throughout the day, the members diligently took care of Taerae. Hao's porridge was a hit; even though Taerae barely had an appetite, he managed to eat a few spoonfuls under Hao's watchful eye. "You have to eat, Taerae. It'll help you get stronger." Hao insisted. "Fine, hao hyung." Taerae mumbled, taking another bite.

Later, Gunwook and Gyuvin kept Taerae company, chatting softly to distract him from his discomfort. "Remember that time we tried to make ramen, and it turned into soup disaster?" Gyuvin said, making Gunwook laugh. "Yeah, and Jiwoong hyung scolded us for wasting food." Gunwook added. Taerae chuckled weakly. "Good times."

By evening, Taerae's fever began to subside, but he still felt drained. The members gathered in his room, their presence comforting. "How are you feeling now?" Jiwoong asked, sitting at the edge of the bed. "A bit better, hyung. Thanks to all of you." Taerae admitted.  "That's what family is for." Hanbin said with a warm smile. Hao placed a hand on Taerae's shoulder. "Rest well tonight. We'll handle everything tomorrow."

As the night settled, the dorm grew quiet again. Taerae drifted off to sleep, feeling grateful for his members who cared for him like brothers.
