Zerobaseone had been looking forward to their trip to Los Angeles for weeks. The opportunity to perform at KCON LA 2024 was a dream which once again came true, and the members were excited not just for the stage, but also to explore the city.

After a long flight, the group finally landed in the City of Angels. Their schedule was packed with rehearsals, but they had one whole day off before their MCOUNTDOWN performance. The boys were buzzing with excitement as they stepped out into the Californian sunshine, ready to make the most of their free time.

"LA is so different from Seoul." Gyuvin marveled as they strolled down the bustling streets of downtown LA. "It feels like we're in a movie." Ricky added, his eyes wide with wonder. Hanbin smiled at their excitement. "We have a full day to explore, so let's make the most of it. But remember, we need to rest for tomorrow's performance."

"Where should we go first?" Yujin asked, looking up at Ricky, who seemed to be in deep thought. "How about the beach? It's not far, and we can relax there for a bit." Ricky suggested. The group agreed, and soon they were on their way to Santa Monica Beach. The younger members Yujin, Gyuvin, Gunwook and Ricky, were the first to run towards the water, splashing around and laughing like children. The older members Hanbin, Jiwoong, Taerae, Zhang Hao and Matthew watched them with fond smiles.

"It's nice to see them so carefree." Taerae said, stretching his legs out on the sand. "Yeah, they deserve it. We've all been working so hard." Zhang Hao agreed, his eyes following the younger members. Jiwoong nodded and says "But we have to stay focused for tomorrow. Let's not stay out too late." After a few hours at the beach, the group decided to head to a famous restaurant they had heard about. The food was as amazing as they'd hoped, and the atmosphere was relaxed, allowing them to unwind even more. "This is exactly what we needed. Let's make tomorrow's performance one to remember." Zhang Hao said, raising his glass of water. "Cheers to that!" Matthew added, and they all clinked their glasses together. After the dinner, members went back to their hotel to rest.

~THE NEXT MORNING~

The next day came quickly, and the members were up early, getting ready for their big performance. The venue was buzzing with energy as they arrived, and the stylists immediately took charge, working on their hair and makeup. Some members were sitting on the couch backstage, trying to calm their nerves, while others were running through last-minute practice sessions. Zhang Hao, despite feeling a bit nervous, was focused on delivering a perfect performance. "It's time. Let's go out there and give it our all." Hanbin announced, gathering the members together.

The stage lights were bright, and the crowd was roaring as Zerobaseone took the stage. They launched into their latest hit, "Feel the Pop" and the energy was electric. As they reached the second pre-chorus, Zhang Hao suddenly noticed something strange. The stage light above him was hanging a bit lower than it should have been, and it looked like some screws were loose. A wave of worry washed over him, but he continued to perform, determined not to let anything ruin their moment. He completed his part flawlessly, but just as he moved to the side, the light above him came crashing down.

Zhang Hao felt a sharp pain as the light hit his head, and he crumpled to the ground. The music stopped abruptly, and the members rushed towards him."HAO HYUNG!!!" Taerae shouted, kneeling beside him, his hands trembling as the blood was flowing like a bullet train from his head. Hanbin was quick to react, grabbing a wet towel and handing it to Taerae. "Keep this on his wound." he instructed, his voice steady despite the panic in his eyes.Taerae pressed the towel against the wound, his face pale with fear."Hao hyung, don't close your eyes. Please stay with us." He pleaded, lightly slapping Hao's cheeks as his eyes began to close.

Hanbin quickly checked Zhang Hao's pulse, his heart pounding in his chest. Jiwoong, who was standing close asked, "How is his pulse?" Hanbin's face tightened with worry. "It's getting weaker. Matthew, call an ambulance right now!" Hanbin says to them. Matthew's hands shook as he pulled out his phone and dialed for help. "They're on their way." He said, trying to stay calm.

Zhang Hao's breathing was shallow, and he struggled to keep his eyes open."I can't stay awake for long." He whispered, his voice barely audible. "Don't say that. You have to stay with us, Hao hyung." Hanbin urged, his voice cracking with emotion. But Zhang Hao's eyes closed, and his body went limp. "HAO HYUNG, DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES !!!" Hanbin says, desperately tried to wake him up, slapping his cheeks lightly, but there was no response.

The ambulance arrived within minutes, and paramedics quickly took charge, placing Zhang Hao on a stretcher. Taerae and Hanbin followed closely behind, their faces etched with worry. "We'll meet you at the hospital." Jiwoong called out as the ambulance doors closed. The remaining members hurried to their car, the weight of the situation pressing down on them.

The hospital was a blur of activity as the members arrived, rushing through the doors to find Taerae and Hanbin already sitting outside the emergency room. Taerae looked up at Hanbin, his eyes filled with tears."Do you think he'll be okay?" Taerae asked, his voice trembling. Hanbin put a comforting arm around him, though his own heart was heavy with worry. "He has to be. Hao hyung is strong." Jiwoong joined them, sitting down beside Hanbin. "What's the situation here?" He asked quietly. "It's been 30 minutes since they took him inside." Hanbin replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

The room fell silent, the only sound being the occasional beeping of machines from the emergency room. Yujin was continuously crying. Ricky hugged him tightly, his own eyes red and swollen." Hyung, Hao hyung will be okay, right?" Yujin asked, his voice muffled by Ricky's shoulder. Ricky sniffled, trying to be strong for his younger member. "Hao hyung is strong. He'll be fine."The minutes dragged on, each one feeling like an eternity. Finally, the door to the emergency room opened, and the doctor emerged, pulling off his gloves. Matthew was the first to speak. "Doctor, how is he now?"The doctor gave them a reassuring smile. "Zhang Hao is going to be fine. He's sleeping now, but you can go in and see him."

The relief in the room was palpable. The members quickly made their way into the room, finding Zhang Hao lying on the bed, his head bandaged but his face peaceful. Ricky was the first to sit beside him and gently took his hand. "Hao hyung, wake up soon please." He whispered. A few moments later, Zhang Hao's eyelids fluttered open. He looked around, slightly disoriented, before Ricky helped him sit up. "Uh...My head....Where am I?" Zhang Hao asked his voice groggy. Matthew stepped forward. "While we were performing, the stage light fell on your head." He explained softly.

"How do you feel now?" Gyuvin asked, his eyes full of concern. Zhang Hao rubbed his head, wincing slightly. "Better, I think." The doctor entered the room, checking Zhang Hao's vitals. "How are you feeling?"He asked. "Better." Zhang Hao replied, offering a weak smile. The doctor nodded. "That's good to hear. You'll need to rest, but you should be able to be discharged by tomorrow."

The members stayed with Zhang Hao for a while, chatting softly and making sure he was comfortable. As the night grew late, they took their leave, letting Zhang Hao to get the rest he needed.

~THE NEXT MORNING~

Zhang Hao was discharged from the hospital. His manager drove him back to the dorm, where the other members were already waiting eagerly at the doorstep.

As soon as Zhang Hao stepped inside, he was met with a barrage of hugs, the members all talking at once, expressing their relief and happiness at having him back.

"Welcome home, Hao." Jiwoong said, his voice thick with emotion. Zhang Hao smiled, feeling the warmth of his members' love surround him. "It's good to be home."

The next few days were filled with careful attention from the members, each one taking turns to make sure Zhang Hao had everything he needed. Zhang Hao was back on his feet, ready to resume his schedule.
