We had just made it down to the hotel in Nola luckily we made it in at a decent time .. being we left at a decent time , all I wanted to do was lay down but I know the party been started over at his moms house .. so we all decided to shower and head that way .
I been a little standoffish which I'm sure it's being picked up on .. I just felt out of it this trip something wasn't sitting right with me , and I typically wasn't to far off with reading myself , to say this feeling was nagging and bothering me would be a understatement .
Walking inside the lobby we waited for August to grab the room keys before he hand them out , walking toward the elevator we got in and rode it to the fourth floor , stepping out everyone walked off toward their rooms .
Standing behind me he held our bags as he waited for me to open the door , finally hearing the locks click I pushed the door open and stepped inside .. shutting it after he walked in sitting the bags on the bed we went through our stuff and pulled out what was needed .
"I'm finna go head 'nd wash up."
Nodding my head at him I watched him sit his phone on the stand , before making his way into the bathroom shutting the door I listened for the shower to start .. once I heard the curtains slide across the pole I jumped up and walked quietly toward his phone .
Laying it flat in my hand I pressed the numbers that had his smudged thumbprint on them , watching the phone unlock I smiled more so to myself .
Going to his messages I clicked on the message I seen in the car which had a lot to do about the funk I felt and began to read the thread from today alone .

Licking over my lips and letting a low chuckle leave them , I locked his phone and placed it back how he had it .. walking back to my side of the bed grabbing my clothes i sat and waited for him to be done .. stepping out the bathroom with a towel hugging his waist I walked passed him and shut the door , handling what I had to handle in here .
Walking out the bathroom after my shower I sat my belonging down and applied some spray .
"You ready ?" He asked standing up
Nodding my head I felt him take my hand into his , shaking my hand out of his I began walking toward the door opening it and stepping out leaving him in the room .
"Chris you can drive with your brother , will trail y'all." I spoke watching him come out the door
Stepping in front of them I made my way to the elevator with Ace and Nia now on my heels , getting in Ace pressed 1 and we rode the elevator down in silence , although the looks they were giving me sounded like a HBCU game night .. walking out the hotel and getting into the car we watched August and Chris come around the corner talking to one another .
