Walking into the house I sat my keys on the hallway table and kicked my shoes off , lately I been working my shifts at the tattoo shop as well as Nia's lash appointments .. just to ensure she will still have her form of income while she's not able to move around , to top it all off I was still on call at the physical therapy center , to say I was drained would be a understatement tomorrow will make a full week since the incident happened .. and everyone truly did rally together August would drop Ayden off at daycare while Ace or mama picked him up , while I took on these shifts Chris would come over and take care of Nia's needs ..

Walking into the living room I peered over at them and watched as she scrolled on her phone , leaving him on the opposite couch doing the same yes he came over and helped but no they haven't talked .. quite frankly it was annoying licking my lips and blowing out a silent raspberry I walked over to the couch and took a seat .

"Y'all can't keep doing this carrying on like this y'all need to talk." I spoke lowly

Nothing was on the tv the curtains were closed they sat in this room like this daily and never uttered a word aside from her occasionally asking for help .

"And I don't care about being ignored." I spoke looking at them both "But please don't make me call mama , and I'll leave it at that."

Getting up and walking to my room I stepped in shutting the door behind me , walking toward the Ac i turned it on and began to strip outta my scrubs .. I hadn't seen August in a couple of days being he was running the club by himself , we hadn't talked much either which was ironic I wanted to blow him up but felt that would've been overbearing .. especially since I didn't know where his mind was at .

"Alexa play players prayer."

Stepping into my bathroom I turned the shower on and stepped outta my undergarments , all I wanted to do was crawl so deep into my bed I end up under it .. but I had to see if Ayden was coming here tonight so dinner could be cooked and baths could be took .

Stepping under the shower head I threw my head back and ran my fingers through it .

"I was just playing with them girls I was gonna get right back , I was tripping yo love is where it's at." I sung out

Opening my eyes I jumped a little at the sight in front of me , looking up at August who had his back up against the shower wall .. I watched him chuckle lowly before opening his arms for a hug .

"You fucking scared me , creeping around how the hell." I spoke looking up at him "Scratch that where the fuck have you been?"

"Ima hood nigga baybeh all I do is creep , 'nd i kno mama I been busy between work , Ayden , 'nd checkin in wit Joce shit jus been worrisome." He spoke closing his eyes

"Doesn't mean you put me on the back burner , I was worried and you wouldn't answer half my calls or text." I spoke moving outta his arms "Now you wanna just pop up you broomstick."

Rolling my eyes I washed my body off stepping out the shower leaving him in there , I understood the busy aspect in all this but his plate was no bigger than mine .. what I realized about him was when he was under a lot of stress he often liked to shut people out and i wasn't going to let him continue doing me like that .

Wrapping the towel around my body i walked into the room and got dressed , sporting a night gown and some slippers .. I made my way out the room to start cooking since Ayden would definitely be here tonight .

Walking pass Nia who now sat alone on the couch I shook my head while walking into the kitchen , pulling out a pot and the ground beef from the fridge i decided on spaghetti .. simple quick and easy letting the meat brown I walked off and grabbed Nia's prenatal gummy .
