"HEY, are you okay?" Maricar looked at Rainier.

"I'm worried about Allie. Since yesterday, she hasn't spoken at all," he replied. Concern was also evident on Rainier's face. "Me too. But I don't know how we can help her. I can't even imagine how she'll process what happened."

Silence.

"Are you scared of your sister?" Rainier suddenly asked.

Their companions inside the vehicle turned to look at them.

Zen answered, "She's very powerful, but she's not scary. I would have done the same. Those monsters deserved what happened to them. They killed almost everyone." The girl's voice was filled with anger.

"They didn't even spare babies. They turned them into food just to make themselves look young. I would probably do something worse to those monsters than what Allie did to them," Zen continued.

"I'm not scared of Allie," Maricar replied to the young man. "I'm just as worried as you."

Rainier took her hand. "I will be here for you."

Maricar smiled, grateful to have the guy by her side.

"Look!" Kim suddenly shouted as she looked out the window.

They all turned to look outside.

"What is that?!" Tam exclaimed in shock.

"It's a water snake," Zen answered as they passed by the creature swimming in the water they were crossing.

"That's huge!" Maricar exclaimed.

It was a green creature that seemed to be chasing the birds flying above the ocean.

"We're getting close to the Kingdom of the Fairies," Zen said.

"Fairies?" they all said in unison.

"Yes, the Faerie Kingdom. We will stay for the night, and tomorrow we will continue our journey."

"THIS is amazing."

That was the first thing Tam said when they entered the disco bar.

"I thought fairies were small and flew around. But look at them. They look like us," Maricar said as they sat down at a table.

"But you need to be careful with fairies. They are quite mischievous," Zen warned.

Maricar and Rainier sat next to each other.

"Will they harm us?" Kim asked.

"No. They are friendly and sweet. But we still need to be cautious with them," Jhosie replied.

Suddenly, Tam pulled Lloyd. "Let’s dance, Lloyd."

They laughed at the look on Lloyd's face, but he couldn't refuse Tammy's playful spirit.

"They look good together," Kim commented as the two left.

"Lloyd is a soldier. I'm sure he will protect your friend," Rollieh added.

Zen ordered drinks.

Rainier noticed that Maricar was deep in thought. "She will be okay," he said.

Maricar looked at him. "I hope so. I’m really worried about my sister. She didn't want that to happen, and it hurts me for her."

"Maia won't let her down."

"You should be with her. I know you’ve liked my sister for a long time."

"But I see how Maia cares for and looks after her. I've also seen how Allie looks at and smiles at Maia. I have no right to interfere with the bond they’re building."
